I am a person-centered, solutions-focused counselor in training who is passionate about helping people discover their strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. My background in school counseling and secondary English education has shaped my ability to connect with students, families, and educators in ways that are both supportive and practical. By utilizing narrative techniques, we can get to the root of distress and find ways to foster growth.
I work with clients of all ages, but I have a special focus on school-age adolescents and adults working in the education field. Having spent years in various schools myself, I understand the unique pressures that students and educators face—whether it’s managing academic stress, navigating change and transitions, or balancing the demands of teaching, learning, and our personal lives.
My counseling approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, creating a safe and compassionate space where clients feel seen and heard. I believe in blending empathy with practical strategies, so people not only gain insight but also leave with tools they can use in everyday life. I also integrate psychoeducation, helping clients and families better understand mental health in a way that reduces stigma and encourages growth.
Beyond individual counseling, I enjoy offering workshops and professional development for schools and businesses on topics such as mental health awareness, stress management, and creating supportive environments. My goal is to make mental health knowledge accessible and empowering for individuals and communities alike.
