Harry Styles lit up the PNC Arena stage last week, filling the room with music, color and thousands of ecstatic fans. Being a celebratory hoorah after the last 18 months, this concert gave “Treat People with Kindness” a whole new meaning. Awaited for nearly two years, it was everything and more with an endless list of highlights. This is your recap of LOVE on Tour.

After singer songwriter Jenny Lewis opened the show with upbeat rock, the crowd started getting a little antsy and hyper aware of any motion on the stage in the hopes that the show was starting. Random bursts of applause were frequent, even for the stage crew. But it was the moment that the lights turned off that everyone knew what was happening. Faint music played in the background, followed by the screams of fans when he finally stepped on stage. Harry Styles in the flesh.

Eyes widened as he kick started the night with “Golden”, the first song on his album Fine Line. Following “Golden”, Styles humbly introduced himself to the crowd but to the roaring fans, he needed no introduction. Harry continued to perform “Only Angel '', “She” and obviously “Carolina” because when in Raleigh, how could he not? Slowing things down in the latter half he performed songs such as “Cherry”, “Falling” and his first song as a solo artist, “Sign of the Times”; even taking things back to his One Direction days with “What Makes You Beautiful”.

Harry filled the show with music, dancing, and the best nonsensical chatter, keeping the mood fun and lighthearted. However, Styles still created some sentimental moments as he took a pause to sing happy birthday to an especially lucky fan. Most would agree that his performance value is what sets him apart from other singers and after the end of this concert that opinion was even stronger.

Ending things on a loud and energetic note, Harry blew the crowd away with “Kiwi” as he jumped around waving the pride flag in the air. His message of love and acceptance could be felt throughout the arena as he brought everyone together for a magical two hours. He screamed “No one in this room alone!” and it is safe to say that no one did feel alone when they walked out those doors.
