The Geekly

Who are we?

We are The Geekly: A science magazine. Everywhere you look, there is science. In the kitchen, in your cat's food, and even in the famous baking soda and vinegar experiment. You yourself are the product of thousands, if not millions of chemical reactions, all working together to keep you alive. The magazine was founded by Akhilesh Balaji, and Co-Founded by Dhruv Suresh Ramu. Both of them showed a profound interest in Science, as children, and why things are the way that they are. “Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.”, said the Buddha; the last of which has been hidden the longest.

It is our goal and aim to educate you about the wonders of the universe. And if you are just another science enthusiast looking for the best way to enrich yourself with some knowledge, then this is the perfect magazine for you. In the words of Confucius: “He who knows all the answers has not been asked all the questions.

Akhilesh Balaji

CEO, Founder, Content producer and Editor

I am Akhilesh, and I started The Geekly. I created The Geekly, because I wanted some sort of outlet to express my ideas and feelings about science. I also wanted to try integrating different concepts, when I created this. That's where design came in. The Website, layout of the magazine, and chatbot all needed designing, and I took responsibility of that.

But, I realized that I couldn't do that alone. I would need someone else's help. That's where Dhruv came in. The Geekly is a joint venture between the both of us. I feel that scientists will never be able to know everything there is to know. Summed up in the wise words of Chinese philosopher Confucius, "He who knows all the answers has not been asked all the questions".

Dhruv Suresh Ramu

Content Producer and Marketing Head

Hello, everyone! My name is Dhruv Ramu. I feel that The Geekly was a way for me to teach other people about science, and the world around us as we know it. There are three things that The Geekly is to me:

    1. An outlet for scientific knowledge

    2. A way for me to teach everyone about the wonders of the universe

    3. A way for me to learn about the secrets of the universe. Yes! It's true! I also learn new things as I try to seek out more and more information.

In the beginning, I didn't really think that The Geekly was anything much to brag about, but after the first issue was completed, my views were changed, once and for all.
