A weekend away from the noise. Space to breathe, think clearly, and find your footing again, through honest conversation and real brotherhood.
The world is moving fast and asking a lot. The pressure to perform, provide, and hold it all together is real, and most men are navigating it alone, without the space or the brotherhood to step back and ask the harder questions.
The Free Man Project creates that space. A container for men who are ready to grow, to connect with like-minded men, and to live with more clarity, courage, and intention. Not a therapy group, not a networking event but something rarer. A place where the work of being a good man is taken seriously, and where showing up honestly is the only requirement.
CLARITY: What actually matters to you, not what’s supposed to.
BROTHERHOOD: Real connection with men who won’t let you disappear.
ALIVENESS: Getting back in your body and actually living.
We’ve taken the traditional retreat format and broken it into four distinct experiences across one weekend in Montreal. Join us for all of them or pick and choose what fits. Each stands on its own; together they form something you’ll carry for a long time. See pricing at the end.
FRIDAY EVENING — The Ceremony
Up to 40 men
The weekend opens with a shared experience designed to help you arrive, and fully. A short practice to quiet the noise of the week, with a few refreshing activities, followed by a meal and an evening of genuine connection with the men you’ll spend the weekend with. The tone is warm, the barrier is low, and the return is high.
SATURDAY — The Heartland
Up to 20 men
This is where the real work happens. A full day built around one essential question: what does it mean to be a good man living a good life, right now?
The day moves through a morning of embodied practice: breathwork & light movement, getting out of your head and into your body, followed by a moment for personal reflection and space. After a beautiful shared lunch, we dive into deep group inquiry and honest conversation in the afternoon. Expect to be challenged, to connect more deeply than you expected, and to leave with something concrete: a clearer personal vision and real commitments, not just inspiration.
The day ends at 4 PM. The insights don’t. Saturday evening is yours. We propose a loose gathering of men, a good restaurant, no agenda.
SUNDAY MORNING — The Ascent
Open to all
We meet at the base of Mount Royal for a three-hour expedition on foot. Side-by-side movement, open air, and the kind of conversation that only happens when you’re not sitting across a table. A powerful close to an intense weekend, and an easy entry point for anyone who couldn’t join the earlier days.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON — The Restoration
Up to 15 men
An afternoon at one of Montreal’s finest spas, sauna, warm water, stillness, and space to let the weekend settle into your body. Less an add-on, more a necessary exhale. You’ve done the work. This is where it lands.
→ To get clarity about what you actually want and not what you’re supposed to want.
→ To move the work into your body: breathwork, movement, nature, and stillness.
→ To have conversations with men that you can’t have anywhere else.
→ To leave with a clearer personal vision and real commitments, not just inspiration.
→ To find, or deepen, a brotherhood that doesn’t disappear when the weekend ends.
"They opened a space for us, and within us. That was priceless."
"A rare fusion of Warrior strength, Lover flow, and Sage wisdom, embodied with true mastery."
"They opened and held a space that transformed the room and something deep within us."
"A powerful example of humble, complementary leadership without ego."
"The fire, music, and ambiance created an atmosphere of beauty and depth."
"Authentic, unscripted, and profoundly real."

The Free Man Project is for men who've built success in a world that's spinning out of control. Everything feels uncertain, complex, and moving too fast. Technology is changing everything about how men contribute. You feel isolated, switching between roles all day — career, father, husband — never quite feeling authentic in any of them. Maybe you're dealing with doubts, inner struggles, and unhelpful habits. You know you should feel proud of what you've built, but instead, you feel like you're pretending to have it all together.
Our promise:
Stop carrying the weight alone
Reclaim your integrity, nobility and identity
Build a good life that actually works in all its aspects
Break free from what's holding you back
Leave a legacy worth working for
The night sea was rough. A large naval ship drove forward, confident and steady. Ahead, a single light held its place on the horizon.
“Alter course, we are heading directly towards you,” the captain signaled in Morse Code.
“Negative,” came back the response moments later.
The captain, frustrated, said, “We are a naval battalion ship heading directly towards you. Change your course now.”
“We cannot do that.”
The captain, furious: “I am the SS Eisenhower, the second largest naval ship in history. Change your course now, or we will go right through you!”
A pause, then the reply: “Sir, I am a lighthouse.”
The free man is a lighthouse. Unperturbed by storms, he does not mirror chaos; he orients it. His structure is a straight spine of truth that names reality: this is what I know, this is how I feel, this is what I want. His light is the open heart of good intent and compassion that does not waver or collapse. This is Man 2.0, the Benevolent Alpha. Power without threat, direction without domination, authority earned by steadiness.
Boats will toss around his as the waves rise. He remains the beacon for them to find their way home.
Workshops: Hands-on learning for specific challenges and goals
Retreats: Transformative weekends, away from daily distractions
Week-long intensives: Total immersion for creating lasting change
Ongoing dojo-style community support: Lifelong network of like-minded men
Start wherever you're ready, go as deep as you want.
Every Free Man Project gathering is now hosted by Ron and Bhaskar, joined each time by an invited warrior - a guest who has proven himself in his arena: technology, finance, health, business. He shares his story, his battles, and what he's learned, then joins the circle. The core stays constant; the perspective is never the same.
