• Synopsis: Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city's one and only superhero.

• Intentions: I was intrigued by the series going so hardcore into the 30s detective aesthetic, offering a black and white edition alongside a full color version. I wanted to create a single, cohesive edit that removed all of the opening and closing credits besides the ones featured at the very beginning and ending of the series. Shockingly, I was able to cut about an hour of credits alone.

I worked to make the transition between episodes as seamless as possible, in addition to adding film grain and damage to the visuals to help anchor the series in the period it's set in.

Change List: 

• Removed all credits besides the opening of the first episode and closing of the last. 

• Added film grain and damage to the visuals

• Replaced the opening credits song with "Watching the Detectives" by Elvis Costello
