• Synopsis: "Grindhouse 2" merges the visceral violence of "Hobo with a Shotgun" and the slasher thrills of "Thanksgiving," aiming to recapture the spirit of the original Grindhouse with retro-style visuals, pacing adjustments, and a classic horror score, presenting two distinct tales of extreme brutality as a singular, gritty double feature.

• Intentions: Grindhouse is one of my favorite films and I've always wanted to see a second installment of the series. After almost 2 decades, we've gotten adaptations of the fake trailers for Thanksgiving and Hobo with a Shotgun. Machete also got its adaptation, but since it has a direct sequel, it felt more appropriate to combine the two unrelated films.

I only cut eight minutes from Hobo with a Shotgun to help bring its overall rating from uncut/X/NC-17 to R by cutting excessive language, in addition to 4 minutes from Thanksgiving to help hasten its pacing. I also saturated the colors and added film and VHS damage to the footage to help make it appear more like a 20th Century film and a 21st Century, HD movie. I also added numerous tracks from the score recorded for Creepshow 1982, which was sampled for Eli Roth's original fake trailer for Thanksgiving.

Overall, I excluded reels from both films to help replicate the presentation of the original Grindhouse, in addition to adding 13 minutes worth of credits from the film, in addition to my own trailers.
