• Synopsis: Ashley "Ash" Williams, his girlfriend and three pals hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it's read aloud. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life.

• Intention:  I decided to try my hand at my own edit since the Evil Dead films are some of my all time favorites and they are more ingrained in my brain than any other horror films.  My goal is to create a seamless experience transitioning directly from one film to the next. I've cut an hour in total, shaving off lingering scenes and some sequences that distract from overall tonal quality. I also tried my hand at adjusting color and contrast, especially with the stop-motion sequences from Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness to better fit the surrounding footage.

Notable changes include:

• The  flashback of Dr. Knowby and his family being placed within the first film, when Ash and his friends first play the tape of him reading from The Necronomicon

• Exclusion of a cut revealing Linda's non-possessed face during the work shed scene in Evil Dead 2,  due to the faces of the original actors in the first film shifting often due to makeup changes and the 'fake shemp' replacements of the original actors throughout the filming process

• Over 200 Cuts removing any excess baggage and repetition. Plus re-arrangements to have good continuity and overall toning
