The Emmanuel House

The Emmanuel House is a transitional living facility located in Carthage, TN where homeless women and children can find temporary housing, spiritual mentorship, transportation, life skills training, education and access to recovery and social services. These services will enable these women to find work or education to put them on a better path. We are a non-profit organization supported by the contributions of generous churches, businesses, and individuals. All donations, including your time, are a blessing and greatly appreciated.

The Emmanuel House is a faith, hope, and love home for the hopeless. Any woman who needs a supportive place to live as they move towards regaining independence following homelessness, domestic violence, incarceration, recovery program, or any other setback in life is welcome to apply for the program.

We work with the Department of Children Services, probation and parole, mental health facilities and other entities to ensure our residents have the best care possible. The residents in our program pay a very small payment each week for rent and that covers all utilities. The program is designed in phases, with the average duration being 18 months. When the women move in they must work to gain privileges and freedom.

Our ministry is solutions-based and goal-oriented. Our prayer is that our graduates continue to live healthy and happy lives.
