The Harlem Renaissance was the Golden Age of African-American culture in the United States and occurred from the 1920s until the early 1930s. After WWI, African-Americans from farmlands began to migrate to the cities, like Harlem in New York, to seek new opportunities. The movement coincided with the Jazz Age, which revolutionized African-American music and dance.
