1. Quail Con: August 1-September 1, 2024 MyShire Farm

2. October 6, 2024  We visited Qwazy Quail Farm and learned about the different variety of quail he breeds as well as purchasing 6 black coturnix quail.

Quail Con offered multiple classes over the two day period located at Myshire Farm in Ohio.  On Saturday we took a class on Quail Cages by Wynola Ranch, Toured the Quail Barn, Learned about Small-Acreage Homesteading wtih Dale's Quails, Coturnix Quail Basics by Slightly Rednecked, Quail Butchering with Thyme and Timber and First Aid on the Farm with Battle Borne Farm.  On Sunday we learned about Biosecurity and NPIP with Jim Ward, Creating a Hatching Brooder Kit with Hatching at Home, Quail Butchering by Brad James and Short Pickins Quail, Quail Colors and Genetics by Myshire Farm and Eggg and Balut Sales by Woodpecker Pines Farm.  We were happy that one of the girls won the Quail for Kids contest and was given a cage, brooder, incubator and 30 starter eggs.  We also purchased twelve brown Japanese Coturnix Quail and five tuxedo Coturnix Quail.
