How Much Of Our Brain Do We Use?
It has been misattributed to many people (including Albert Einstein) that we only use 10% of our brains. This myth was originated in the 1890s by the father of American psychology, William James. He said, “most of us do not meet our mental potential” and this misunderstanding stuck for a long time. The truth is, we use virtually every part of the brain, and most of the part is active all the time. In fact, during sleep, all parts of your brain remain active. It is true that every part of the brain is not concurrently active at any given moment. For the maximum efficiency and in order to be conscious at all, 1 to 16% of the cell should be active. Furthermore, most of the cells are used to control unconscious activities such as heart rate, dreaming, etc.

Can You Fire A Gun In Space?
Guns don’t require oxygen to work, so the vacuum of outer space will not be a problem. The gunpowder is completely self-contained and doesn’t depend on the atmosphere. The gun will work better in space. The bullet will not have to compress or push the air in the barrel, and it can travel infinite distances in space.
Do blind people dream in visual images?
Yes, blind people do indeed dream in visual images. For people who were born with eyesight and then later went blind, it is not surprising that they experience visual sensations while dreaming. Dreams are drawn from memories that are stored in the brain as well as from brain circuitry that is developed while experiencing the outside world. Therefore, even though a person who lost his vision may be currently blind, his brain is still able to draw on the visual memories and on the related brain circuits that were formed before he went blind. For this reason, he can dream in visual images. What is more surprising is the discovery that people who were born blind also dream in visual images.

Why is there no life on Moon?

Also lack of oxygen is one of the reasons.
Why do we dream?
One widely held theory about the purpose of dreams is that they help you store important memories and things you’ve learned, get rid of unimportant memories, and sort through complicated thoughts and feelings. Research shows that sleep helps store memories. If you learn new information and sleep on it, you’ll be able to recall it better than if asked to remember that information without the benefit of sleep. How dreams affect memory storage and recall isn’t clearly understood yet. But dreams may help the brain more efficiently store important information while blocking out stimuli that could interfere with memory and learning.

Why can't elephants jump?
Animals that jump need really flexible ankles, strong tendons and calf muscles, and elephants have wimpy lower-leg muscles and not very flexible ankles so they can't jump.
Why snakes are called farmer's friends?
Snakes are friends to farmers because snakes help reduce pests that would otherwise decimate crops, and they also provide protection from other predators that might hurt livestock or humans. Farmers know that if they don’t disturb the snakes, then the snake won’t bite them. Snake has been an iconic symbol of fertility throughout history, so farmers keep them because they think snakes will make their land more fertile. The farmers that live in areas inhabited by venomous, poisonous, or otherwise dangerous snakes lookout for these slithering creatures because they don’t want to get bitten.

Why do we yawn?
Yawning is an involuntary action that causes us to open our mouths wide and breathe in deeply. We yawn when oxygen levels in our lungs become low. Studies show that during normal breathing we don't use anywhere near lung capacity. The air sacs or alveoli needs fresh air or else they tend to stiffen up a bit. Therefore it is believed that the brain prompts the body to either sigh or take a yawn to get more air into the lungs.
Why are balls round in shape?

Why do we feel dizzy while spinning ?
The inner parts of your ears (inside your head) give you your sense of balance. These inside ear parts have hollow spaces filled with liquid, and the walls of these hollow spaces are lined with very tiny hair cells. When you move around, this liquid sloshes around and bends the tiny hair cells. The bending hair cells are connected to nerve cells that send messages to your brain – giving you your sense of balance. When you spin around rapidly, that liquid in the inner ear spins as well. When you stop spinning the liquid keeps moving for a bit, confusing your brain into thinking that you're still spinning even when you're standing still - and that makes you feel dizzy!
Why do we cry when we laugh ?
People cry while laughing because of too much pressure around the tear ducts due to the body shaking during strong laughter. These tears are called reflex tears, which occur when the eyes come in contact with an irritant such as a strong gust of wind or the aroma of a freshly sliced onion. It is important to note these are different from emotional tears, which are produced in response to an experienced emotion, such as sadness or anxiety.

When we drop a stone from a high place, it falls very fast but if the same is done to a feather, it falls down very slowly. How is it so? Is the gravity pull not the same all over?
In his famous experiment at the leaning Tower of Pisa, Galileo proved that all bodies fall with equal speed irrespective of their masses. He also further explained that the variation that is seen in the time taken by different bodies to fall on Earth when dropped from the same height is because of the difference in the air resistance offered. The resistance depends mainly on the frictional and buoyancy force both of which again depend on the volume and shape of the bodies.
Why is ocean blue ? Is the water actually blue coloured ?
The ocean is blue because water absorbs colors in the red part of the light spectrum. Like a filter, this leaves behind colors in the blue part of the light spectrum for us to see. The ocean may also take on green, red, or other hues as light bounces off of floating sediments and particles in the water.
The water is in fact not colorless; even pure water is not colorless, but has a slight blue tint to it, best seen when looking through a long column of water. ... Rather, water blueness comes from the water molecules absorbing the red end of the spectrum of visible light.

Reactions to chemicals in cosmetics can cause irritation to the skin. Insect bites and certain plants can also make us feel itchy. Extreme weather can also cause skin irritation.
Why is the Earth round?
Earth is spherical in shape because of the force of gravity that pulls equally from all sides. Gravity pulls from the centre to the edges. This is the main reason why the Earth is round which is a three dimensional circle. But the point of fact is that it is not exactly round but roughly spherical or oblate spheroids. If noticed carefully then we get to know that the equatorial diameter of Earth is about 43 km while the polar diameter is of about 12713 km. Making, equatorial diameter larger than the polar diameter. This is because just like a spinning top our earth spins on its axis with the speed of almost 1674.4 km/hr. And this much velocity causes the planet to bulge near the equator due to centrifugal force.
