Who are The Brothels???

The Brothels from Austin, Texas are a continuation of rock n roll punk/ ska/ bordello band Avenue Rockers. Established in 2006, Avenue Rockers released 3 full length albums- toured around the US and Mexico with Svetlanas, Dead Kennedys, Reagan Youth and played festivals including Upstart Fest, Punk Rock Bowling, etc. before a hiatus. 

Luna (vocals) sang for Reagan Youth for a couple of years before assembling The Brothels in Austin around 2019.  Since then they have released two EPs named “The EP” (2024) and “Front Row Tickets to the End of the World” (2025). 

To promote the 2024 release- a 2 month US Tour, directly supporting Dayglo Abortions was confirmed.  Sadly,  the tours “booking agent” never applied for Dayglo’s work visas, stole $6,000+ from promoters then disappeared. The Brothels gained much momentum, fans and viral notoriety worldwide for keeping the 2 month US tour going with no headliner, no money, no guarantees, just their new punk rock soundtrack for a broken summer tour and a hell of an underdog story. 

Towards the end of 2024 and into 2025- The Brothels were direct tour support for MDC, Sloppy Seconds, The Toasters while releasing the “Front Row” EP. Another two month US tour was scheduled co-headlining with Dayglo Abortions in 2025 but the whole tour imploded when the headliner was unavailable on many random nights. The Brothels left the tour about two weeks in, after solutions were broken many times.

For the first half of 2026, The Brothels only played two shows. Luna (vocals) was plagued with health issues in January, had no health insurance and finally got surgery in June. All better now!

Currently, they are working on a full-length album to be released in the Spring of 2027 and currently booking a US tour(s) to promote the albums release.
