Considerations:
The inner leaf needs to be constructed from the wallplate and around the rafters.
Some wind-driven rain may penetrate fairfaced brickwork.
The outer leaf needs adequate support.
Answer:
Small pediment gable walls should be of cavity construction, although it may be impractical to build a masonry inner leaf e.g.
masonry should not be built o a timber wall plate.
