Kitchens
Kitchens should be installed in accordance with the design, customer options, standards and regulations.
Ensure pattresses are provided within stud work at the correct height and secured to the stud work.
Check socket and switches are level and equally spaced taking account of unit tops and the design.
Provide additional support for worktops behindkitchen units.
Sink waste should be directed behind the kitchen unit and not penertrate through the base.
Provide additional ply behind back board below the sink to allow for better fixing.
Areas below the sink should be neat and tidy to provide the greater space to the homeowner.
Stop cocks should be easily accessible and labelled.
Fixings of the kitchen units should be placed so they are covered by shelve once completed.
Pips must be provided to unused shelve sockets.
Full depth boiler housing should be avoided to allow for as much usable work top space for the homeowner.
Gas shut off point points in apartments provided at the boiler.
Ensure all drawers and doors are adjusted so they run level and with equal margins.
Ironmongery must be consistent throughout the kitchen.
All doors and drawers must open unobstructed and free from defects.
Ensure kitchen units and worktops are protected once installed.
Provide a suitably substantial protection for hobs and extractor fans.
