Dry lining
Dry lining shall provide an adequate substrate for the decorative finish. Dry lining shall be installed in accordance with British Gypsum White Book and NHBC Standards.
Wall tiling projected beyond bath to ensure neat finish.
Where possible, tiling should extend by 50mm.
Tiling should be set out to avoid small cuts (dentils).
Wall tiling projected beyond shower tray to ensure neat finish and better seal with shower doors.
Where possible, tiling should extend by 50mm.
Chamfer or return skirting board when terminating against tile trim.
Joint widths should be 2mm to 3mm.
Joints should be consistent around corners.
Use coloured sealant to best match the tiles.
Trim should be neatly mitred or cut to ensure a tight joint.
Trim should be installed level with neatly cut mitres.
