Support should be provided to lightweight partitions that run parallel to the floor joist. Additional support may be required to support plaster boards. If strutting is required as part of the floor design, they have to be accurate and in accordance with the design.
Noggins provided to support light weight partition above.
Z-clips used to fix noggins to the flange of the I-joists.
Noggins spaced at a maximum 600mm centre.
Sole plate of the partition fixed to noggins.
Additional noggin to support plasterboard and provide a fixing point.
