Loadbearing Walls

Internal load bearing walls are designed to support and transfer loads to foundation safely.

  • Loadbearing masonry wall accurately placed.

  • Formed centrally on foundation below.

  • Solid infill between joists required to the full depth of joist.

  • Timber load bearing wall design must be followed.

  • Lintel and cripple stud are required to opening within the wall.

  • Multiple joist need to be supported by multiple studs.

  • Multiple studs must be fixed together.

  • Bloor Standard detail for structural timber walls.
