Bonding Internal Walls

Bonding and tying of load bearing and non-load bearing internal partition walls has vital role in providing structural stability to a property and customer satisfaction with their home. Fixing, level and straightness should all be taken into consideration.

  • Wall ties used for bonding internal solid walls. Wall ties set at 225mm vertical centres.

  • Expanded bed reinforcement can be used to bond internal masonry walls.

  • Alternatively, fully bonded or tied.

  • Maximum vertical centres of 300mm.

  • Structural timber wall firmly fixed to masonry walls.

  • M10 resin anchors used for fixing.

  • Maximum vertical centres of studs of 450mm.

  • Stud work backed with 18mm ply.

  • Bloor Standard detail for structural timber walls.
