Bonding Internal Walls
Bonding and tying of load bearing and non-load bearing internal partition walls has vital role in providing structural stability to a property and customer satisfaction with their home. Fixing, level and straightness should all be taken into consideration.
Wall ties used for bonding internal solid walls. Wall ties set at 225mm vertical centres.
Expanded bed reinforcement can be used to bond internal masonry walls.
Alternatively, fully bonded or tied.
Maximum vertical centres of 300mm.
Structural timber wall firmly fixed to masonry walls.
M10 resin anchors used for fixing.
Maximum vertical centres of studs of 450mm.
Stud work backed with 18mm ply.
