Protection of Works (Drainage)
Completed drainage systems must be protected from ongoing construction work and traffic. Damaged drainage could lead to a drains test failure.
Inspection chamber lids should be easily identifiable to operatives and plant drivers.
Covering lids in a bright coloured material will make them easy to identify.
Where the risk of damage by trades such as scaffolders is heightened due to location; a more robust solution may be required.
Pre-forming timber lid covers may be considered.
