Pile foundations are an engineered foundation solution and must be installed as per the design. It is essential that all phases of the installation process are checked to avoid delays.
Ensure reinforcement is held in position by appropriately sized spacers and placed no more than 1m apart.
Ensure pile cap is projecting into the ring by the designed depth.
Pile reinforcement are the correct length and centred on the beam.
Reinforcement from the pile should be independant to the ground beam reinforcement.
All reinforcement is overlapped by the designed amount and tied together.
Piles align centrally within the beam.
Consult the engineer if the pile is out of alignment by more than 75mm.
