Warm Winter Wear Drive:
We're collecting warm winter wear & blankets to be donated to local homeless shelters and individuals. If you have any coats, hats, gloves, blankets, scarves, etc. that you'd like to donate, please bring them to any ACDP event or meeting. This effort is ongoing through the whole winter season (which, as you probably know, lasts about 9 months around here), so it's never too late to clean out your closets! If you have any questions about this drive, please contact us.

"Oakwood Soul Café is a “pay-what-you-can” community meal prepared by a rotating group of volunteer chefs every second Monday of the month. The event aims to bring diverse neighbors together around the dinner table. We provide a low cost, nutritious meal to 80+ people each month. Soul Café meals are typically prepared on a budget of $150, relying, in part, on “culled” produce—good food that would otherwise be thrown away by grocery stores and farmers market vendors. Oakwood uses as much culled produce as possible to prepare the meals, keeping the tomatoes with bruises and otherwise “ugly” produce out of the landfill, using these ingredients in delicious soups or stews."
Our collaboration with the Soul Cafe was highly successful, raising funds for the community center, and serving up delicious curry and brownies to the citizens of Troy. We had a wonderful time working with the Oakwood crew, and can't wait to do it again. Thanks again to the Oakwood Soul Cafe for inviting and hosting us. It was our pleasure and privilege.

We gathered once more to bring blessing to the land of Vale Cemetery in Schenectady, NY through our annual clean up and offering rites. As usual, our focus was on the "green" portion of the cemetery, which is home to the apple trees we've donated in years past.
This was, as always, a fun, touching event. We hope you may join us in this sacred work in the future.

This Coffee Date was also a Tarot Fundraiser, and we had another great time socializing and seeing. Tarot readings were provided by the ever-generous Sky and Muse, and we managed to sock away a nice bit of money to help fund this year's Harvest Festival. Thanks to Sky and Muse, and to everyone who joined us!

Our second coffee date was as well-attended and entertaining as the first. We definitely plan to continue to host these little get-togethers through the year, to foster community, conversation, and networking for all our members. Thanks to everyone who attended.

We were excited to host the first (of hopefully many) Coffee Date of 2018! Coffee, conversation, and kvetching. This non-ritual, social event was aimed at helping to foster connection and community among local Pagans and supporters, and was very well-attended. It was a pleasure to hang with you all for the afternoon!

The ACDP was pleased to celebrate Yule on December 17th, 2017 with The Nemeton of the Ways, a local Druid grove who was kind enough lead us in a short public ritual at the Crossings in Colonie. Although it was cold, thanks were given, trees were wassailed, lessons about community were heard and learned, and a squirrel stole one of our rugelach. We look forward to our next public ritual, which we anticipate will be held to celebrate Ostara, or the Spring Equinox.
