The Vanrays

It's a Motown beat down in a shark skin suit. It's wailing like its gospel while they're laying in the boots. 

It's a curb stomping rhythm on the corner of control. It's a nod in the direction, when all the shoes had leather souls. 

And to when those shoes were twisting, to Otis and to James.  And so now do, The Vanrays too, we are here to do the same.

Formed in East Vancouver, Canada in 2016 by musicians with a shared love of Soul and  R&B classics, members of The Vanrays have played in Swank, Polly, The Beladeans, and Circus in Flames. They keep venues packed thanks to energetic and gritty performances with soulful vocals, deep grooves, punchy horns and memorable melodies. 

Their LP PUT IT OUT was released in 2023 and will release their next EP HEY! ALRIGHT NOW! on June 8th 2024 .  

Wherever they play, The Vanrays fill dance floors leaving happy fans in their wake.
