On Uberta's birthday, she is abducted by Clavius, who wants to use her as leverage. When Derek sets out to rescue his mother, Clavius sneaks into Swan Lake castle where he locks Odette in a tower and then goes after the orb himself. Bridget, who was once Rothbart's accomplice but has joined the side of good, recognizes Clavius and knows that he is after the Forbidden Arts. She takes Speed, Puffin, and Jean-Bob into the catacombs under the castle where they find the orb first. After claiming the orb, they race back upstairs and free Odette. Odette knows now that Derek is heading into a trap, but Puffin cannot fly because of his tail is injured, so she convinces Bridget to use the orb to change her into a swan. Once transformed, Odette flies off to warn Derek. Clavius stumbles upon the remaining group and a chase ensues throughout the castle. Clavius eventually obtains the orb, and locks Bridget and the animals in the watery dungeon, although they later escape.
Elsewhere, Odette reaches Derek in time to save him from a pit of quicksand. Racing back to the castle, they see Clavius escaping in his hot-air balloon, from which Speed, Puffin and Jean-Bob are secretly clinging to in the hopes of being able to regain the orb. Derek and Odette follow the balloon to Clavius' volcano lair. Knuckles tries to stop them, and after a fight, Knuckles falls into the lava pool beneath the volcano.
Clavius celebrates his regaining the Forbidden Arts again, but Derek arrives and the animals free Uberta from her prison. During the fight, Jean-Bob jumps on Clavius' head to stop him from delivering a killing blow to Derek, and Jean-Bob is killed when he is thrown off. Derek gets his hands on the orb, and the group rushes to escape in Clavius' balloon. Clavius tries to stop them, and during the struggle the orb is dropped, which causes a massive explosion and volcanic eruption which kills Clavius while the others escape.
Meanwhile, Princess Odette reaches Derek in time to save him from drowning in a pit of quicksand. Racing back to the castle, Odette and Derek see Clavius escaping in his hot-air balloon, from which Speed, Puffin, and Jean-Bob are secretly clinging to in the hopes of being able to regain the orb.
During the fight, Jean-Bob jumps on Clavius' head to stop him from delivering a killing blow to Derek. Unfortunately, Jean-Bob is killed when he is thrown off. Derek gets his hands on the orb, and the group rushes to escape in Clavius' balloon. Clavius tries to stop them, and during the struggle, the orb is dropped. The orb shatters, causing an eruption. Clavius dies in the resulting explosion, while everyone escapes.
Later, everyone is at Swan Lake, waiting for the moon to rise on Odette, who is waiting on the surface with Jean-Bob on her wing. When the moonlight touches Odette, she is transformed back to her human form and Jean-Bob is revived. The gang celebrates their victory and Uberta's birthday. The following day, her valet, Lord Rogers, told Derek that a royal guest from Lincolnshire had arrived at the castle, but Derek asks Rogers to take care of it, as he wishes to spend the day with Odette. The two share a kiss, enjoying their time together alone at last.
She is the love interest of Prince Derek in the first film (though not at first), and eventually his wife at the end of that film and the sequels. In the first movie, she was kidnapped by Sir Rothbart, an evil enchanter, and is taken to his castle lair at Swan Lake where he turns her into a swan. Odette dies and is revived twice, in the first and third films.
The next day, Odette and William make their return home, but are stopped by Rothbart, who got his powers back and turns himself into the great animal and attacks them. William's injured captain returns to Uberta's castle and informs Derek about the attack. Derek quickly rushes to the scene, only to find a dying William and Odette gone. Upon assassinating William, Rothbart takes Odette to his lair at Swan Lake and puts a transformation spell on her, which turns her into a white swan by day and a human once again by night in the lake under the moonlight. He mentions that the spell can only be broken when the man she loves made a vow of everlasting love and proves it to the world.
Puffin, Jean-Bob, and Speed helps to free Odette from the dungeon and she quickly flies to the ball, hoping that she will get there in time to warn Derek but finds all the way into the castle was blocked, much to her disappointment. As Derek makes his vows to the fake Odette, she suddenly feels weaker due to Rothbart's spell that drains her life source, thus killing her.
Puffin remembers the bow that Rothbart threw into the lake and sends Jean-Bob to fetch it. Bromley had already escaped from the dungeon through the hole Speed made and gives Derek an arrow to shoot Rothbart with. Derek fires the arrow at Rothbart's chest, which kills him and crashes into the lake.
Odette is very worried about her relationship when Derek could no longer spend his time with her after becoming King in the first movie. When an evil magician, Sir Clavius, locks her in the tower, she asks Puffin, Bridgett, Speed, and Jean-Bob to transform her back into a swan to warn Derek but she rescues him from the quicksand.
Odette was later kidnapped by Zelda, and Derek must give the pieces of the notes to Zelda that he had stolen from the Forbidden Arts journal in order to release Odette. Zelda turns Odette into a swan and trapped her in a magical cage. Derek comes to the rescue, but before he is able to defeat Zelda, Odette tries to fly away from the magic orb that was meant to kill her. Puffin later informed Derek that Odette has been killed.
Her heart slowed at the sight of lilies floating like the softestwhite gel lights on tables. A bridesmaid, a kindly giantess, held handstenderly with a little boy wearing an ivory-colored suit. At the back of thehall rose the wedding cake, plundered level to level like a ruinedcastle--but what a lovely castle, like something from a fairy tale. And atthe wedding party's table, next to candles that flickered and bent as ifwarping, the groom in his pale tuxedo stared out into the center of the halllike a man too exhausted to put up a fight with reality.
