I am using the EA app and have purchased many games through them. Two days ago, I purchased Sims 3 Seasons and Hidden Springs at the same time, through the EA app. The emails that I received after the purchase, most definitely sent me a redemption code for Hidden Springs. While the app shows that I own Hidden Springs and Seasons, I was only given the option to download Seasons. When I attempt to enter the Hidden Springs redemption code on EA app, I'm redirected to thesims3 page. And, well, yah, the rest is frustrating.

My guess is that I'm blocked from thesims3 "store.thesims3.com/myAccount.html" page by IP address? That would be odd, because I can, seemingly, access all other pages on the site. That one page just won't open no matter what I have tried.

I do note that regardless, of whether I'm logged in to thesims3.com, or not, the store opens for me, I'm just blocked from myAccount.html. I double checked my IP address from my phone data, and, unfortunately, it is similar to my WiFi, probably because my phone service and my Internet service are through the same company.

I understand that I have to wait a bit for my Sim's items to sell at the consignment store, while inventory selling is instant, but is there any other difference? Can they sell for more at the consignment store, for example? Because if they don't, then the instant selling in the inventory pretty much makes consignment stores redundant and perhaps counter-productive, especially with the waiting and the trip to the store and making sure it is open, right?

The advantage of the consignment store is the possiblity of gaining reputation, completing challenges and having significant discount on random items. Moreover good or bad sales can have an effect on the mood of you sim.

First, the adage "one must spend money to make money" is in full force for Sims. You cannot start a store on the Sim's home lot, but you do need an empty lot or a converted unoccupied house. In theory with few products and the cheapest lot, you could open your own shop for about 6,000. Ideally however, you'll be starting with 20,000 or more as if you're making a new house.

To purchase your store lot, have your Sim click the cash register icon in the interface to open the Store Panel, then click the dropdown box and click to add a store lot. There are a few special items you can purchase in the Retail Store sort of Build Mode if there are specific items you wish to sell. For example if you wish to make a grocery store, you'll want to buy the stand-up freezers. If you want to make a bakery, you'll need to buy the display freezer cases to place your finished goods in. Running a store alone is incredibly difficult, but you can hire employees from among the townies and other Sims to help you out. Customers are unlikely to stick around long enough to use the facilities, but you may want to make the bathroom public anyway.
