The Anthonian Debate Circle (ADC) proves its quality after its competing team reaches the High School Semi-Finals of the 6th Ateneo Eco Debates (AED).

Comprising the team under the name “IRIGA IS TOO HOT!!” are John Ashton Javier, Nikailla Chelsea Sarmiento, and Francis Cenon Elevado, Senior High School Students of the University of Saint Anthony (USANT).

In an interview, Elevado expressed his satisfaction for the garnered result from the event.

“Besides from being happy, of course there's this feeling of being proud of myself and our team kase we still went to the semis despite having a lot of things going on during that time,” he said.

He also recalled their struggles during the tournament.

“Day 1 of the tournament, I was really distracted because of my grades but it was still fulfilling to break into the outrounds and eventually reaching semis together with Chels and Ashton,” he added.

AED is an annual debate cup hosted by Ateneo de Zamboanga, which was held last 4th to 5th Day of May, 2024.
