Two competing teams and one adjudicator from the Anthonian Debate Circle (ADC) stepped onto the Cebu Inter-School Debating Association (CIDA) Novice Cup 2024, with the adjudicator bagging the Overall Best Judge award. 

Taking the Overall Best Judge award among all participating judges is Nikailla Chelsea Sarmiento, who chaired the Open Cup Finals and Semifinals, paneling the quarterfinals for the outrounds.

“I felt super surprised since almost all of the adjudicators competing with me were some of my idols in the field,” stated Sarmiento.

Competing teams by ADC were filled by Freya Aquino and Desiderio Nachor for the first team, and Sebastian Castro and Carl Justine Galicia for the second team.

The competition, hosted by Cebu Inter-School Debating Association last March 23, 2024, comprised 50 participating schools all over the country, following the British Parliamentary format.
