my seeker droid very frequently will not detect anything in the area while I am doing dailies that require the seeker droid. the only work around I have found is logging out and back in to the character and sometimes may take 3 - 5 times doing this, and that is very annoying but the only way to complete my gsi dailies

the 2 biggest problem areas and best examples are on makeb. when trying to collect the proto bark castings for the gsi daily mission my seeker droid will not be usable and will give the message does not detect anything near by. some times this happens randomly after I have already picked up 1 or 2 bark castings and sometimes it happens in the middle of the cast for my seeker droid. I have also had it happen where the seeker droid finished casting and was on its way to me when it disappeared and then bugged out without receiving the node and the droid no longer could be used because it did not detect anything in the area

the other area this happens frequently is on the volcanic mesa when trying to use the seeker droid to collect the metallic embers (i think that's what their called?) same bug and happens quite frequently some times twice on the same run. also when this happens and I log out and back in the seeker droid will be functional for seconds and before I can recover the node it says seeker droid no longer detects anything in the area, ignoring the fact I am still standing next to the node.

also I have had this happen once in a dred seed area on tatooine while searching for the dread seed. I moved a couple meters and my seeker droid no longer detected anything while I was still clearly in the area and had not recovered my dred seed yet, again logging in and out worked but not the first time

ctrl u+u does not seem to help and it also does not seem to be connected to being in combat or evading enemies, this was my first suspicion but it will still happen without entering combat in the area or running through mobs that evade in the detection area. my assassin with stealth does not enter combat in any of these areas and still will receive the no detection notice from the seeker droid. my second guess is that it may be tied to the instances, as in if that node is harvested on another instance my seeker droid bugs out but that is just speculation.

sorry if this is a known issue and has been responded too I did not see it in the known issues and this bug did not come up in any searches for seeker droid bug, other bugs yes but not ones where it did not detect while in the correct area

I have just experienced exactly this problem. I was doing the GSI weekly for Galactic Seasons on Darth Malgus server (on a level 80 sorcerer/shadow, with the shadow loadout activated, in case that should somehow be relevant). I entered the cave system from the Imperial transport pad. In the second of the two caverns to the right of that entrance, despite standing right beside one of the volcanic metal nodes, my seeker droid was greyed out and it claimed it didn't detect anything in the area. I travelled to a stronghold and back and it was usable again but, within a few seconds, a message came up saying my seeker droid no longer detected anything. Travelling to another planet produced the same result when I returned. A couple of times (I tried going to different places and targeting different nodes) the droid stayed usable long enough for me to activate it, but the animation only showed the green aoe of the detection area. The droid itself was invisible. At the point where it should have dug up the metal, the disturbed ground animation appeared and the message 'Your seeker droid no longer detects anything' came up, but I didn't receive anything and the mission didn't update. After that the droid became unusable in that chamber again. Everything worked properly in the other three chambers.

I use them with my hardwired build and sometimes they just dont explode on target or they explode on target or in the vacinity of the target and it just doesnt do damage.. sometimes when i trow the seeker out it just disappears and i know some places can destroy or make it disappear but its getting ridiculous now with how many times it just doesnt do what it needs to do. me and my friend had like a little plan he uses EMP Pulse and i used my seekers at the same time but the amount of times it just didnt pop out or do damage was crazy. So please ubisoft fix the Seeker mine Cluster...

SO I entered a seeker droid area on Makeb while doing my my dailies, and I started having trouble finding items. I would get the green direction indicator, and would move a little in that direction and start leap frog searching. After continually finding nothing, I started noticing something strange: I would never find the item, but it would look like the item itself was... moving. Sometimes just moving 5 feet towards where it indicated an item was it would suddenly give me a red "nothing found" ring.

To test this, I started dropping my seeker droid while standing still. Without moving, the directional marker would change from activation to activation, even without me moving, turning, or even adjusting the camera. Thinking I was possibly standing right on top of it, I took a few steps back and checked the area I was on to no avail, and once again stayed still while making several detection drops. Sometimes even crossing which side of a river it detected it on.

That helped just enough to find the problem. A small handful of nodes in the Land graph were tagged as Ocean nodes, but they were grouped in with the other Ocean nodes. If the seeker found one of these nodes, it would lock onto the graph it was (wrongly) attached to. With almost 3,000 nodes to manage, I got careless.
