Autovia was floated as a seperate company by Riley in 1936 to produce a more luxury car to compete with the expensive up-market marques.
The bodies were built by A.J.Mulliner and it is believed just 36 cars were built before both Riley and Autovia went into receivership in 1938.
The London distributor Jimmy James Ltd., took over the stock, spares and the Autovia name but no attempt was made to continue with the line.
