Makes four pizzas
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
1 ¼ cups of warm water
½ teaspoon of sugar
3 ½ cups of flour
¾ teaspoons of salt
4 tablespoons of olive oil, divided
Mix the water, sugar and yeast, and let stand until foamy. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add 3 ½ tablespoons of olive oil to the well, along with the yeast mixture. Gently combine until you have a ball of dough. Knead the dough in the bowl for a few minutes before turning it out and kneading on a floured surface. You will need to knead the dough for at least 10 minutes. Let the dough rise for 1 hour, up to 24 hours. Divide dough into 4 pieces and let it rest. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to a high heat. The higher the temperature, the faster it will cook. Roll out your dough into 4 large circles and top with whatever you’d like. Bake until the edges are golden or to your desired crispiness.
Notes:
If you think the dough is undercooked, you can check it using a fork.
