Greetings! My name is Cr1ms0n Sl4y3r, and welcome to my official website, The Pokéstop! This is my sixth official post on the blog, and I'll be posting every week, so make sure to stay tuned!
I haven't posted in over a month, and that was because I decided to take a break so I could brainstorm some ideas for the website. I have also been sourcing some products for my store (yes I have a store, check out the 'Store' caption in the navigation of this website). Trust me, I have some great ideas for the website, so make sure to stay tuned
One month ago from today (when this post was created) was a huge day for me and the blog. Firstly, I finished my official breakdown of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which I have posted here on the website - you can click here to read the entire article. Secondly, I arranged a meeting with a friend of mine by the alias of Haunted Toaster to trade some cards with each other. So on Friday 3rd June, me and Haunted Toaster sat down and we traded some of our cards with each other. How was it? Continue reading to find out...
Now, one thing you need to know about Haunted Toaster is that he will accept any trade. If you like to keep the value of your card collection at a moderate level, just accepting any old trade may not be good for the value of your collection, but it depends on what kind of collector you are.
Haunted Toaster had two Evolutions cards: a common non-holographic Growlithe and a regular-rare Mewtwo. I was more interested in the Mewtwo (which wasn't very expensive, but it was a cool card). I don't remember what I exactly traded for these cards (as I don't for any of the other cards I traded because it was a month ago), but the outcome was great!
Yes, you read the title of this section - I managed to retrieve a card which I owned when I started collection Pokémon cards. It was a Victini Prism Star from Dragon Majesty, and I liked this card for many reasons. Firstly, the art on this card is amazing. Secondly, it was a holographic, meaning the value of this card was a little bit higher as an ungraded card. And, as it was on my hitlist of cards (a post will reveal the details of my Pokémon card hitlist), I really wanted the card to make it the first Prism Star card in my collection at that point. As I mentioned, I don't remember what I traded because it was a month ago, but the outcome was amazing.
If the mention of Steam Siege makes you cringe as a Pokémon card collector, then you will hate this part about my trade session with Haunted Toaster. I also owned this card before I traded it off, but since it was a rare, I decided I would trade for it. It was a rare reverse-holographic Bastiodon, which looked amazing, despite being from Steam Siege, in terms of artwork. Yet again I will mention that I don't remember what I traded because it was a month ago, but the outcome was amazing.
That trade session is one of the best trade sessions which I have ever done before, and I hope to do some more with Haunted Toaster in the near future. I will be posting less frequently because these days, my daily schedule is occupied by work, so we are saying fortnightly to even monthly on some occasions. On the plus side, I will be expanding the franchise furthermore as the future of The Pokéstop and The PokéMart looms nearer and nearer. Not much is confirmed, but all will be revealed soon.
Also, before I sign off on this post, I would like to acknowledge the sad passing of Technoblade, a Minecraft YouTuber who was known for his comedic videos all based in Minecraft. Even though I focus on Pokémon, I do play Minecraft (not regularly, but occasionally), and I had heard of Technoblade. He was a great person in his videos, very funny and always knew what to do in a situation when he was playing in a Minecraft challenge. The idea is that my next post will be dedicated to Technoblade, interlinking his life and even attempting to give him an entire party of Pokémon. So, if you can't wait for my next post, I suggest you stay tuned in to the latest Pokéstop news.
