close-reading poems is a favorite activity

so many ways of seeing

how one word says antidote and what that does to orchard

every way of interpreting every word is at play

no conclusions

only expansive exploration

never argument for conviction

only deeper questioning, moving through answers to possibilities

now, if I could only employ this in other areas of my life…
