The Pilates Studio provides certified instruction and unique sessions at affordable prices. Our studio utilizes all the Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Chair, Trapeze Table and more.


A consistent Pilates practice helps lengthen, strengthen, stretch and align your body. It can be tailored to your individual needs whether you're an avid athlete or working with an injury or pain.

If you are already familiar with Pilates but new to our studio and feel comfortable navigating the equipment please feel free to choose the session you want. Please send us an email to introduce yourself and let us know what session you will be attending. That way we have a heads up and can welcome you into the more intermediate and advanced sessions with open arms!

Pick up a Pilates Passport at either studio when you come in for your session. Keep your passport with you and bring it to each session you take. Your teacher will punch your passport after the session is over. Once you fill your entire card you get a FREE GROUP SESSION! Passports will only be punched the day you take the session. No combining passports. If you forget your card at home simply start a new one and eventually you will fill them all!

Balance Point Pilates Studio is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Davis. BalancePoint provides a tranquil, boutique studio environment that allows you to more easily focus on your Pilates practice without distraction. The studio is equipped with specialized Pilates equipment that is manufactured locally in Sacramento by Balanced Body, the foremost innovator of Pilates apparatus in the US. Instructors offer equipment training on reformer/half trapeze combo units, Wunda chairs, spine correctors, Cadillac, and ladder barrels. Small apparatus including foam rollers, stability balls, rings, BOSU, and therabands are also incorporated to personalize and enhance your workouts. Ann is an amazing teacher. She is knowledgable, caring and patient. If I walk in the studio feeling tired, I leave energized. If I walk in with the weight of the world on my shoulders, I leave feeling taller and more poised. If I walk in with a muscle pain, I leave pain free. I'm in awe of her ability to pinpoint tiny adjustments to prevent strains or, better yet, slowly alter a physical weakness stemming from years of poor posture or something similar. She doesn't baby you; she pushes you. But not in an forceful way. You just want to do better with her-- you trust that she knows when to add pressure because the limitation is imagined and when to ease up. Nicole earned her B.A. in Dance and East Asian Studies from Hamilton College in 2002. After graduation, she danced professionally and toured nationally with H.T. Chen and Dancers, Mariana Beckerman Dance Company, and with choreographer Vanessa Paige. She received her Pilates Mat teaching certificate from Power Pilates in 2002 and has been certified by ACE as a personal trainer since 2005. Nicole taught dance, Pilates, and worked as a personal trainer at a number of fitness centers, dance studios, and personal training facilities in NYC. She received her teacher training certificate in Physical Restoration (a comprehensive pilates training integrated with aspects of other movement modalities) from Krisen Day in Northampton, MA in January 2011. She is a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist in The BioMechanics Method. In addition to teaching, Nicole is a collaborator/dancer with the tinydance project in Northampton, MA. Nicole is currently a bridge student in the Balanced Body Comprehensive Teacher Certification and studies with Zayna Gold of Boston Body Pilates. Nicole is committed to teaching her students in a way which draws from her extensive movement background and continues to grow her knowledge by attending workshops and trainings on a regular basis.

Mat class is designed for all levels. Here you will learn the pilates fundamentals while practicing whole-body exercises that challenge you physically and intellectually. Each class which will deepen your understanding of breath, natural spinal alignment, and control of movement. We require any students interested in joining our beginner apparatus classes to start with mat work. This class is also an excellent way to reset your body from your long week and to draw your focus back into your center. You will leave you feeling organized and refreshed!

Students interested in reformer 1 classes must have instructor permission prior to joining. You will learn the fundamental reformer exercises which utilize the spring-loaded resistance and assistance of the pilates reformer. We highly encourage all reformer 1 students to attend weekly mat classes in order to gain a solid understanding of their body alignment and basic understanding of pilates principles. A strong mat foundation is integral to understanding reformer work and reformer work informs mat work, so it is ideal to practice both!

We are currently teaching at full-capacity in our studio and are only accepting new students for online group classes at this time.
