The Ridgeway County Fire Department isn't only just engine and ladder companies, no, within the department is a unique and specialized unit: the Technical Rescue Team. The Technical Rescue Team, TRT for short, brings the combined efforts of entrapment rescues, rope rescues, and water rescues to the table. Commanded by Captain 28PJ, and consisting of several technicians subordinate to him, the team works around the clock carrying out area searches and specialized missions to save the lives of Ridgewayans across the county. With applications having been released to members of the department and training concluding no more than a week ago, the TRT has already seen its fair share of calls across the county. From missing park rangers to drivers flipped upside down, the TRT uses the special equipment at their dispense to ensure that the victim(s) of any situation that requires the rapid deployment and intervention of the TRT makes it out alive.
"You can expect to see efficient, effective, trained, and professional services from the Technical Rescue Team within the very near future as we begin the grand opening and full operation of the division." Captain 28PJ of the Technical Rescue Team stated. "The RCFD Technical Rescue Team is prepared for any emergency no matter what the location may be. We're prepared to handle any situation in the water, in the air, on the ground, and in the end wherever you make the 911 call from. The Citizens of Ridgeway can confidently go to sleep every night and go throughout knowing that in the case of an emergency the RCFD Technical Resuce Team is prepared, trained, and ready to respond to any situation that may arise."
While the TRT uses Rescue 28 as their primary apparatus, the unit expects to see some changes on the development side, however, Captain 28PJ of the technical rescue team said that he could not disclose the soon to comes updates/additions to the public. The TRT is eager to get out in the field and save more lives, and even more enthusiastic about the new gear and technology coming on the way. It's often said that the fire department is overlooked by the development team but with the TRT's establishment and incoming order of technology and equipment in the near future, those beliefs will be debunked.
