On March 21st, 2024, the Ridgeway County Fire Department recieved to a call at the Palmer International Airport regarding a disease outbreak. Upon arriving on scene, they discovered an African man who'd just came to the country who was contracting a deadly virus on him. On his flight, he was coughing onto other passengers and contaminating three total people. The fire department swiftly responded and tried to get a hold of the crazy situation, but as HAZMAT firefighters continued their work in investigating and attending to those effected, they tried their best to keep the virus from spreading into Palmer. This fear solidified when the perosn contracting the virus ran from the quarantine zone and had to be taken down by police and fire workers. The situation is still ongoing as details remain slim, but you can rest assured we will provide you with all of the details as soon as we can while our journalists on scene seek updates.
