Nathaniel Hester, a native North Carolinian, Person County resident and transdisciplinary artist, employs play as a form of protest to investigate white supremacy's legacy on the built environment, psychic landscape and domestic interiors of the Southeast of the United States. His work has been exhibited in Upstate Art Weekend, Satellite and Spring Break art fairs as well as having been collected by the New York Public Library and Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University.

These six wearable monster costumes, modeled thematically after Auguste Rodin's, "The Burghers of Calais," will have quilted capes fashioned by community groups for the final dance performance which in turn will be auctioned off to benefit Kevin Pittman's .
