WITH school around the corner, the children of Gotham have been swarming the streets in order to get in their last moments of freedom before being sequestered back into their classrooms. It seems that Danny Wayne is no exception to this. He was seen running around the streets of Gotham yesterday, enjoying his time as best as he can.
What caught our photographers' eye, however, was not Danny Wayne enjoying his time around Gotham. No, Danny Wayne was seen holding hands with not only a girl but a boy.
The Wayne family already has many members of the LGBTQ+ community within its fold. Co-CEO Timothy Drake-Wayne has been open with his relationship with his boyfriend. Richard Grayson has been seen wooing people of all genders, taking after his father in his playboy ways. Even Bruce Wayne himself has been open in not having a gender preference in his lovers. Danny Wayne being bisexual is no shock to this reporter. However, it seems that our newest Wayne boy has found himself caught in a love triangle.
"It was so obvious that they both had feelings for him," Vallie Mueller, a barista at Little Bat Wings Café, told the Gotham Gazette, "I mean the girl wrapped her arm around Danny's shoulder when they sat down, and the boy kept trying to play footsie with him. It almost felt like they were competing to see who could flirt with Danny more before he noticed."
Little Bat Wings Café is a hot spot for many young couples, especially those who wish to be more environmentally conscious. They serve all of their drinks in mason jars and encourage the customers to bring their jars back to the café for refills. With its robust vegetarian menu, Little Bat Wings is the go-to for vegetarians and vegans all around Gotham. Damian Wayne is quite vocal about his vegetarian lifestyle, but Danny does not seem to follow his brother's footsteps. This has lead this reporter to assume that Danny chose this café for one of his potential paramours. It seems Danny is a considerate lover.
When interviewing the other patrons of the café, they all seemed to agree that there was clearly something going on between the three. All three teens seemed extremely comfortable with each other. Perhaps Danny has known these two potential suitors for a while now?
"They had a ton of inside jokes," a frequent Little Bat Wings patron, Vito Koepp, stated, "and they all kept looking at each other with these fond looks. Like, I felt like I'd been dropped in a young adult romance novel with the amount of pining in front of me. Honestly, it's just a question of who is stringing along who."
"I actually think Danny doesn't know," another patron who remained anonymous said when they overheard us speaking to Mx. Koepp, "I mean, we all saw the interview. That boy clearly doesn't think highly of himself. What would make him think that not one, but two of his peers that he clearly likes to some extent would like him back? So I think the three are just playing a whole game of teen romance chicken."
While the pseudo date at the café was quite adorable, Danny Wayne's romantic adventure did not stop there. As pictured to the right, our photographers managed to capture a photo of Danny Wayne holding both the mystery girl's and the mystery boy's hands. It's not often you'll see teens holding each other's hands, so clearly this means that there's something special going on here.
Iris Johnson was baffled by the sight and our interest in it. "Seriously? This is really what you're choosing to focus on? Three kids holding hands and not the glowing teenagers on a flying motorcycle?" She sounded quite disgruntled as she gave us her statement. "I swear, Gotham gets weirder the longer I live here."
That's right, there was a flying motorcycle seen over Gotham as Danny was taking his two potential dates around town. While there was some mild property damage, Batman's newest sidekick Phantom managed to wrangle the glowing teenagers up and keep the destruction to a minimum. Unfortunately, it seems that this flying joy ride interrupted Danny Wayne's date as he wasn't seen after that attack.
One Gothamite had this to say about the situation: "Look, I just don't get why we gotta speculate on a teenager's love life. I mean, he's what, 14-15? How's the kid supposed to do normal teenage shit if the paps are watching his every mood? I mean, he clearly didn't ask for this. The kid didn't even know he was a Wayne until like a month ago. Can't you all just give him a break and bother one of the other Wayne kids for a second? I'm sure Mr. Flying Grayson has some steamy love story you could froth over."
Another local, Gayle Bruhn, spoke to the curiosity Gothamites feel about the newest Wayne. "I mean, I get everybody deserves some privacy, but you gotta admit that everyone's bustling about him," she told one of our reporters, "his story is insane to think about. A secret twin of Damian Wayne, famously the only biological child Bruce Wayne has had? It sounds like the set-up for a scam yet all evidence shows that he's the real deal. He's kind of an enigma, so you can't blame people for wanting to know more about him."
Ms. Bruhn couldn't have said it better. While we at the Gotham Gazette want to respect any boundaries Danny has set, we also have a duty to the curious citizens of Gotham to help them learn more about its newest prince, so to say. In the meantime, we hope that whatever love triangle Danny's gotten himself into that he ends up in a happy and healthy relationship.
