I created a new Linode server following these guides. When I got to ghost install I had another issue with mysql during setup where it failed to create a new mysql user (see last line) and then would have the same error as above:

Trying ghost start just hangs indefinitely. Hitting ctrl-c to stop it results in the ghost process running but with a 502 error if you try to access the site. Ghost restart also just hangs indefinitely. (I left it for 15m and it was still trying)

This situation could be considered a bug in Ghost doctor. If Ghost is hardcoding /usr/bin/node in the systemd files, when the ghost CLI is installed, it should do the same thing-- if it did that, getting a version mismatch would be impossible.

I have multiple setups of ghost running for multiple sites running in docker using ghost version 4.48.9; then I start a new instance of the container with version 5.38.0 we get the following in the logs:

It's really strange as well because although when running the command node -v it displays that I have managed to upgrade it to v18. However, as you can see in the screenshot below when I try to the run ghost update, I get the following error message.

We do have a support ticket and so far all support said was, its a good idea to keep all components up to date. I agree, but these ghost sessions i dont think should be happening even with some components on different versions.

Even in this case, I wonder if ghost will find my hard disk partitions. Perhaps if I manage to make a bootable USB with some Win installation, that automatically allows the OS to recognize the HD partitions.

I still use ghost myself, and have been in this same situation. I suggest using YUMI to create bootable Flashdrive, and download Hirens BCD or FalconFour BCD. From there boot into either. Doing this will allow you to boot into a limited version of Windows XP from there browse to the flash drive you have Ghost installed on and Run the .exe.

- Personal thinking: When exploring, I find myself attracted by M10-P ghost edition as it looks even nicer than Q2's ghost edition. Merely the look is worth a lot to me - as I explained, the external appearance of the camera has a huge weight on my decision. On the other hand, I also recognise that the technical upgrades from M10 to M11 seem a major leap in many aspects... The most noticeable difference on the face value is the 60 mega-pixel vs. 24 mp in M10, which seems like a huge difference. This is especially true a I find myself constantly cropping, with the Q2's 28mm, because I feel uncomfortable approaching people into their and my own "personal" space. Therefore, assuming all else are pretty much insignificantly different, the choice is between the look of the camera and the practical differences that the technical upgrades will lead to in terms of image quality...

- Problem statement: What impacts will the the technical upgrades from M10 to M11 have on image quality? Given my situation as an amateur photography, are those impacts meaningful enough to my use of the camera? (follow-up question to myself: are the differences significant enough for me to give up on the beautiful look of M10-P ghost?)

Installing the latest Manjaro updates somehow broke and destroyed my local Ghost CMS installation. I already tried reinstalling nodejs, yarn and also all the Ghost hints, like ghost cli, with force mode and even with root and everything to no avail. I would be really happy If anyone could help me out here or can give me any hint how to repair this or solve the issue.

I am also already trying to contact with them. However I have a very strong feeling that all this is caused by the Manjaro Update. Reinstalling NODEJS, NPM or YARN brings no change. It really does not seem to be an issue of ghost itself, since I cant see more ghost users affected by this. And you must please understand that everything was working fine for a long time with several updates of Ghost / it broke after the Manjao Update!
