This exhibition site, “ The Everyday 2020”, features multi-media artworks contributed by a talented group of visual artists from the School of Art RMIT who are exploring a personal response to what constitutes the “ Everyday” in the unusual circumstances of the COVID lockdown in Victoria, Australia.
Responding to personal observations about, experiences of and social commentary about living through these difficult times they have all produced art that explores their own experiences with wit, irony and psychological reflections.
It has resulted in a relevant and timely exhibition that reinforces the importance of the role of the artist, both individually and as a group, in reflecting the society they participate in.
They are all to be congratulated for their fascinating contributions.
