The Economics of Migration

The objective of The Economics of Migration Junior Seminar is to give an opportunity to junior scholars to present their work in front of fellow junior researchers and faculty members from a broad range of institutions.

The Economics of Migration seminars take place on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm (CET) according to the seminar schedule. The schedule for spring 2026 will be updated once the current call for papers has been processed (see below for more info). Participation in the seminar is open to all and information is disseminated through the mailing list.

Call for papers

The Economics of Migration Junior webinar resumes in late February/March!

Junior scholars (Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers, or assistant professors who finished their Ph.D. less than two years ago) working on the Economics of Migration are invited to submit full papers to junioreconmig@gmail.com before January 31st, 2026.

The webinar consists of a 40-minute presentation, a 10-minute intervention by a discussant, and a 10-minute open Q&A session.

Note: until December 2021, this seminar was split between the Senior seminar and the Junior seminar. The Senior seminar stopped, but the recordings of all past presentations are available in the tab "Past presentations - Senior".
