''We have a style for everyone, this is fashion through our eyes'' - Niamh - Creative Manager/Model/Photographer ,Β Shantha - Creative Manager/Model/Photographer , Max - Editor/Model/, Rhi - Model, Leah - Model/Designer, Ramina - Model, Mase - Model
This is a community-focused project designed to support women in developing greater independence in fashion, confidence skills & opportunities in their personal and proffessional lives. This is a collabrorative fashion project created by a group of 7 fashion students, when we first all met eachother I, Niamh, was inspired to create a magazine to explore everyones indivuality & self-expression to create a sense of empowerment through the creation of an independant fashion magazine.Β
As Fashion students we want to use our creative skills in photography, styling, graphic design and everyones own unique creative direction on how they want to express themselves to create a editorial storytelling of their fashion journey to make it have an authentic & personal. Each element of the magazine will contribute to the wider message of independance and confidence, showing that personal style does not need to CONFORM TO SOCIETY.Β
The concept behind The Fashion Issue is to challenge the idea of that there is a ''correct'' way to dress or express yourself. Instead the magazine celebrates the indiviuality of each person, recgonising that ''fashion can be a powerful form of self-expression.'' The magazine will focus on real people, different styles of personal perspectives creating a platform where people can feel represented and encouraged to embrace what makes them unique. Rather than following conventional fashion standards.
