Can False Church Doctrine  Cause Atheism?

False Church Doctrine is One of the 

Many Causes of Atheism!

I have been watching videos made by atheists who were raised as Christians before they became atheists. I wanted to learn “why” any Christian would choose to become an atheist.

Here is what I have learned from the videos made by “ex-Christian” atheists to explain “why” they are now atheists. Please understand that this “short” list is by no means considered to explain every single reason for what some people are atheist, while other people believe is a “god” of some kind.

Also, please know and understand that most of the reasons listed are from “former” Christians, but there are a few reasons from atheists who were raised by parents who were atheists.

I will first list just ten reasons and then explain each reason one at a time.

Ten Reasons WHY Atheists are Atheists!

1. Demographics.

2. Born as an atheist.

3. False Church Doctrine forced them to be atheists.

4. Atheism makes the most sense to them.

5. The Bible makes no sense whatsoever.

6. The Bible contradicts itself.

7. They were hurt in some way by Christianity.

8. The Doctrine of Hell repulsed them.

9. All religions seem like superstitions.

10. Why did Jesus have to die?

Reason #1.

Demographics!

This reason is mainly used only by atheists who have always been atheists from a child raised by atheist parents.

Their argument goes something like this:

People cannot help where they were born! They did not get to choose to be born, let alone get to choose who their parents would be.

Some expound more deeply that a person cannot change what they were “born” to “be”.

In other words, “some” atheists claim that being an atheist is “who” they are. And thus, they have convinced themselves that no amount of reasoning can change who they were “born to be”. 

Why the reason #1 for Demographics is Not Logical!

For “demographics” to be a “sound” logical reason for being an atheist, it would be literally impossible for “any” atheist who was raised by parents who were atheists to ever convert to Christianity or any other belief in a Creator of the universe.

But yet there are thousands and thousands of atheists who are no longer atheists.

In fact, there are many homosexuals who once believed that they were “born” gay, but now they are no longer living that lifestyle.

And sadly, there are Christians who have “deconstructed” their Christian faith to convert to another faith such as atheism, agnosticism, Judaism, Islam, or a faith that serves many gods.

Therefore, the augment that “demographics” as being the reason for who you are is not a sound logical reason.

Faith comes by or through HEARING. A person LEARNS to become who they are, whether it be good or bad.

In other words, you believe what you believe, because that is what you CHOSE to believe.

Therefore, demographics can “hinder” a person to continue believing what they were TAUGHT to believe, but it cannot PREVENT a person from changing what they were always taught to believe.

Reason #2.

Born as an Atheist!

On the surface this reason #2 might appear to be the same as reason number one, but there is a sharp difference.

For example, a person who sincerely believes that he or she was “BORN” as being gay is a reason that comes from logic or reasoning to arrive at that conclusion.

Let me explain what I mean by this based upon the many testimonies from gays and lesbians that I have heard.

Again, my reason for even listening to testimonies of atheists and homosexuals is to learn WHY they believe they were “BORN” to be a homosexual or born to be an atheist?

Most of the testimonies always had a testimony of an inner struggle trying to understand why they were different from other people. Their parents were not gay. None of their friends were gay. So how did those feelings of attraction for the same sex come to be? Where did those feelings come from?

Thus, the only “logical” reason they could think of was they were “born” with those feelings of attraction for the opposite sex.

And this same logic is used by “some” atheists who have seemed to always have been drawn to things that can be “PROVEN” without blindly accepting something by “faith”.

But what some fail to see is that it takes faith to believe in the unproven “theory” of evolution and the “big bang” theory as the origin of the universe.

I also have a “theory” about the “big bang” evidence of the galaxies moving apart. What if the “big bang” was the result of the Creator’s wrath? For you see, there are verses of Scripture saying that Yahweh “spread out” the heavens.

Isaiah 42:5.  

“Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:”

The Hebrew word translated as “Stretched them out” also means God overthrew the heavens. For you see, the Hebrew word translated as “created” the heavens also means “cut down” the heavens. And the Hebrew word translated as He “spread forth” the earth also means He that “pounded” the earth.

Therefore, what might seem to be a verse about the creation of the heavens and the earth could very well be intended to mean the wrath of God overthrowing the war in the universe and pounding the earth in His wrath to restore peace in His vast kingdom He created.

Why Reason Number Two is Not Logical!

While being born as an atheist might seem logical to some atheists, it is not sound logic because it would be impossible for “any” atheist to no longer be an atheist if all atheists were “BORN to BE” atheists.

Every “reason” for what a person believes as for WHY they believe what they believe can be understood as a “THEORY” they developed to satisfy their own minds.

In other words, their own reasoning helped them to “satisfy” their “question.” And after a person finds a “satisfactory” answer to their question, then they no longer “QUESTION” that particular matter.

To say this another way, if a homosexual theorizes that he or she was “born to be” a homosexual and they become completely “satisfied” with their theory, then they “accept” their lifestyle as being unchangeable in their MINDS.

Therefore, their own “mindset” was programmed by their own “reasoning”. And from what the Bible teaches, their “own” reasoning was not entirely their “own”. For you see, there are Scriptures that teach us that Satan and his devils or evil spirits seduce the minds of humans.

My point is that people come to certain conclusions which they convince themselves that what they conclude is the ONLY possible answer.

Or so it “seems” on the surface to an “atheist”, because they reject any knowledge of the possibility of their being a Creator God. And if there is no Creator then there can not be any evil spirits either.

But to a person who does indeed believe that the Bible “itself” is true, then that person can clearly see that not “every” thought a person has is their OWN thought.

In other words, most Christians know and understand that there are many “voices” in the world: the voices of other humans, the voice of Almighty God the Creator, and the voices of God’s enemies, the Devil and his angels.

For example, Jesus taught only what he HEARD from his God and Father, according to John 12:44-50 and many other verses as well. 

But for now, let us read this one passage of Scripture, because mainstream Orthodox Christians need to HEAR what the Bible itself “actually” teaches.

John 12:44-50.

“Jesus cried and said, ‘He that believes in me, believes NOT in me, but in Him that sent me. 

John 12:45. And he that sees me sees Him that sent me. 

John 12:46. I have come as a light into the world, that whosoever believes in me should NOT abide or remain in darkness. 

John 12:47. And if any man HEARS my words, and believes NOT, I myself do NOT judge him: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 

John 12:48. He that REJECTS me, and receives NOT my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the SAME shall judge him on the last day. 

John 12:49.  For or because I have NOT spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should SAY, and what I should SPEAK. 

John 12:50. And I know that His commandment is Life Everlasting or Eternal Life: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

So then, Jesus HEARD words from his God and Father, which came as commandments or “instructions” to speak to the people. And then the people CHOSE to either RECEIVE the words of Jesus as being true or to REJECT the words of Jesus as being from Satan.

Therefore, every person, including Christians and atheists have a CHOICE to either receive and believe the “WORDS” they HEAR, or they can CHOOSE to REJECT the WORDS they “HEAR”.

Thus, every person is TAUGHT to believe what they believe whether they realize it or not.

And that is the very reason for why there are so many different church denominations in the world today. For you see, the church started out as one core “unity” of faith called the Apostle’s Doctrine where Jesus is the Chief Apostle called and sent out into the world to speak the words he heard from his God, Father, and Creator.

So then, how did the church DIVIDE? The simple and most logical answer is that Christians who did NOT have God’s Spirit dwelling in them listened to the OTHER voices in the world. They listened to the Greek philosophers. They listened to the Jews. and they listened to the voices of the evil spirits speaking to their “minds.”

1 Timothy 4:1-2.  

“Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall DEPART from the FAITH, giving heed to SEDUCING spirits, and doctrines of devils; 

1 Timothy 4:2. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” 

One of the meanings of the Greek word translated as “conscience” is co-perception, which means being aware of “two” coming together in agreement to perceive the same thing.

 In other words, co-perception means discerning between what is perceived PRIVATELY and what is perceived commonly with others, which can affect HOW we process sensory information, make decisions, and remember events.

To say this another way, you hear or see something and you have a memory of what you heard and saw in your mind. Someone else hears and sees the same thing. And when your memory is compared with their memory and it agrees, then that is co-perception. You have the same memory of the event. Your perception was private to you and their perception was private to them. And when shared, you both agree that is what happened.

But in the context of seducing spirits the agreement is between a human and the evil spirits. A person might “think” that every thought they have is completely their OWN thoughts.

When I left God and became an “atheist” or “agnostic” some fifty years ago at age 21, I came up with a “theory” about salvation being likened to a game. And if one chooses to “play” that game, then they can win eternal life. But if they “lose” that game of salvation, then hell awaits them.

And if a person decides not to “play” that game of salvation, then they just die, no reward of eternal life and no punishment of hell. But then I heard what I THOUGHT was my own theory conjured in my own mind being explained on the radio almost word for word. I knew in an instant that those thoughts were not my own thoughts. They were planted in my mind by seducing spirits influencing me to perceive a doctrine of devils. Thankfully my mind was not hardened or SEARIED.

For you see, when a person’s “conscience” is SEARED, then that person wrongly concludes that every single THOUGHT that comes to their MIND is their OWN thought.

To say this another way, atheists must DENY and REJECT any teaching of the reality of “spirit” beings, good or evil, influencing their thoughts. 

For you see, if an atheist admits to himself that any thought they have in the mind is NOT their OWN thought, then they admit to the reality of another dimension, which Christians call the “spiritual” realm.

Now, to me, there is plenty of EVIDENCE for the existence of EVIL spirits in the world for anyone with eyes to see what science cannot explain other than with their THEORIES.

For you see, “atheistic” scientists simply refuse to believe in the spirit realm as being REAL.

But “agnostic” scientists acknowledge that they do NOT know EVERYTHING. They are humble enough to admit that they simply cannot explain things like the paranormal, ghosts, UAP’s or UFO’s, remote viewing, magic that seems impossible, and near death experiences.

Magicians know that magic is real and that not all magic is slight of hand illusions. They made a deal with the devil to become famous. Witchcraft is real. It is not the so-called “power” of the mind that moves objects and bends metal spoons. Humans cannot read minds of other humans, but they can hear voices speaking to their minds being spoken by evil spirits.

Reason #3.

False Church Doctrine forced them to be atheists.

I openly admit that one of the reasons for why most atheists 

remain atheists is due to FALSE Church Doctrine.

So, allow me to make a statement right up front without having to prove to Christians that the doctrine of “eternal” burning alive in hell is a Man-Made FALSE Church Doctrine. 

I have several studies on the subject of hell showing what the Bible “itself” actually teaches in the Light of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.

Just briefly, in my understanding, the Lake of fire does not yet literally exist at this moment in time. I personally belief that the earth passing away at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus and the saints during the age to come will BECOME the Lake of Fire spoken of in Revelation 20:10-15.

My understanding is that the Lake of Fire fulfills God’s ancient plan to cleanse creation, not to rehabilitate the devil or the wicked.

I say not to rehabilitate those cast into the Lake of Fire, because another false doctrine among universalist Christians is that the wicked are “purified” by the Lake of Fire.

But for now, let’s continue this study on examining the reasons for being an atheist.

The delay in judgment  of Satan and his angels spoken of in Matthew 25:41 demonstrates divine justice, not leniency toward evil.

Let me explain what I mean by this. The Bible itself teaches about the previous ages of the earth before God Created man upon the earth. And in passages of Scripture that might SEEM like creation verses you can clearly see that the context is about the WRATH of Almighty God. Please read the studies called;

Job 8:8 Absolutely PROVES a PREVIOUS AGE of the Earth!

God’s destruction of the wicked is not vindictive but protective. It preserves the moral order and safeguards future generations from a world that would otherwise devolve into cruelty and chaos. And who in their right mind would want to live in a world like animals where only the fittest survive.

Even in some of our cities today the crime and violence produces so much fear that people are afraid to go out of their homes. Remove all of the righteous people who abide by the law and the whole world would be left “lawless”, do whatever you want to do. That might sound good on the surface, but the end result will become KILL or be KILLED.

So then, God’s mercy and love are not opposed to His justice; they are revealed through it. By destroying the fallen gods and the humans who chose to serve the works of the devil, especially those who abuse others through violence, then God actually prevents the perpetuation of evil. 

Again, if He were to remove only the righteous and allow the wicked to continue living and reproducing, society would descend into a world ruled by the survival of the fittest, devoid of compassion and any morals. And would continue to grow worse until the fear of being killed incites people to kill others because of the fear of being killed by them.

Thus in the Creator’s foreknowledge, who has observed His enemies for thousands of years, sees the outcome of such a world. I personally do not believe that the Bible teaches that God knows everything that will happen in the future. Please read the study called Cc-28. Is God ALL-KNOWING / OMNISCIENT?  

But my point right now is that God acts mercifully in His judgment of the unrepentant wicked by DESTROYING them in the Lake of Fire.

And as I said before, the destruction of the wicked who will never change their way is therefore an act of love toward future generations, ensuring that no child will be born into a world dominated by violence and corruption. 

The Lake of Fire will CONSUME the wicked to ashes. It is not some arbitrary wrath but the final safeguard of mercy, preserving the purity of the new creation wherein only the righteous will dwell.

Atheists use arguments that God cannot be both loving and just at the same time. But many of those same atheists have no problem with a human judge sentencing a serial killer to die in an electric chair. An eye for and eye so to speak, they deserve death for killing others.

Reason #4.

Atheism makes the most sense to them.

To many ex-Christians who become atheists, what truly “makes sense” is not atheism itself, but the LEAVING of the confusion created by contradictory and illogical church doctrines. 

When Christian teachings appear inconsistent with Scripture or portray God as unjust, atheists conclude that disbelief is the only rational position. So, in their view, rejecting God becomes an act of intellectual honesty rather than what seems to be rebellion to Christians who remain in their faith in God. 

Yet, from the Christian perspective, what makes no sense at all is the reasoning used by atheists. It is their human attempt to reconcile morality with their theology of evolution. 

In other words, they rationalize that good honest moral people evolved to this state while the evil dishonest immoral people evolved into their state of existence. 

There was no outside “spiritual” influence making man in their own image as the Bible teaches. Let us make man in our image after our likeness. Genesis 1:26 should be understood as God speaking to the fallen Elohim saying hears what I will do to resolve your accusation of accusing me of creating you evil with a rebellious nature to wage a war in the universe. I will create a new species of beings a little inferior to you angels. Then I will influence them to be in my image and I will allow you to influence them to be made in your image.

And God did this to judge Satan and the fallen angels called the Elohim in Psalms 8:1-6.

My point is that the arguments on both sides are seen by the “other” side as being illogical.

Therefore, both sides, then, stand at a kind of stalemate: atheists reject the God they’ve been misinformed about, while believers recognize that false doctrine has made disbelief seem reasonable or understandable for why some Christians leave Christianity.

So then, the real breakthrough comes not from winning an argument, but from restoring the truth about God’s justice and mercy!

For you see, the truth dissolves confusion and reveals that faith, not unbelief, is the truly rational response. 

To say this another way, there are only TWO choices. 

#1. God exists.

#2. God does not exist.

Thus, if God does not exist, then there is no resurrection and final Day of Judgment.

But, if God does exist, then there will indeed be a resurrection and a final Day of Judgment.

So, to me, it would not be a WISE decision to make the choice to believe that God does not exist based upon INCORRECT teaching about God from Christians who have been taught Man-Made TRADITIONS.

That brings me to the next argument that many atheists use, which is that what Christians teach, simply makes no “logical” sense to them. 

Reason #5.

The Bible makes no sense whatsoever.

To many atheists, the Bible “appears” confusing or contradictory because they assume that Christians are accurately interpreting it. Thus, their rejection is often based on what they’ve heard from pulpits or popular theology rather than what Scripture actually teaches. 

They see the inconsistencies of church doctrines that has spread across more than forty‑two thousand different church denominations. And therefore, they conclude that the Bible itself must be flawed. Yet few if any atheists have personally examined every church doctrine across every church denomination.

Nor have atheists sought God for understanding by talking to Him, because they do not believe He exists.

Christians, on the other hand, recognize that the problem lies not in the Bible but in human interpretation. 

And when believers ask God directly to explain His Word, as I have done for nearly half a century, then He reveals truth that transcends denominational confusion. 

But that kind of revelation straight from the Creator is impossible for an atheist who refuses to approach Scripture in faith by asking God for insight, for that would contradict their unbelief in an Almighty God who will judge the world by the MAN whom He ordained and raised form the dead, according to Acts 17:29-31.

Therefore, what “actually makes no sense” to atheists is not the Bible itself, but the distorted image of it presented by divided churches. 

The true understanding of the Scriptures emerges only when one humbly seeks the Author for understanding. And that is something that unbelievers in the Creators cannot do until they believe that God is and that he is the one who rewards those that diligently SEEK Him, according to Hebrews 11:6.

Reason #6.

The Bible contradicts itself.

Again, to many atheists, the Bible seems to contradict itself. Yet those contradictions do not arise from the original Hebrew and Greek texts. But rather, contradictions come due to incorrect interpretations and mistranslations that were shaped to support man‑made doctrines. 

Over centuries, isolated verses were lifted out of context to defend denominational positions, creating the illusion of inconsistency. And when Scripture is read in its original languages and understood through the Spirit of truth, then those contradictions vanish. The written word of God stands in perfect harmony when the Scriptures are correctly interpreted in the Light of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.

God also has hidden certain truths within Scripture, much like a nation at war encodes its messages to keep them from enemy eyes. Divine revelation is not meant for those who oppose Him, Rather, God’s intended truth is reserved for those who  diligently seek Him in humility. 

The Bible itself declares that much of its meaning is spiritually discerned. Men without the Holy Spirit may study endlessly, yet remain “ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” For without the Holy Spirit’s illumination, they see only surface words and not the living message beneath them.

Thus, what appears as contradiction to the unbeliever is actually concealed wisdom, the truth protected from those who would twist it. But when the veil is lifted by the Spirit, then the Scriptures reveal a flawless unity that testifies to the righteousness and mercy of God.

For example, a believer can explain the God intended meaning to non-believers and they can understand what they did not see on their own.

To further explain what I mean, I will use my own experience of what God revealed to me concerning WHY God Created humans in the first place. Why are we here” Why did God create us? This brings us to Reason number seven.

Reason #7.

Why Did Jesus Need to Die on the Cross?

The seeming end to the questions concerning the so-called contradictions of Scripture and the confusion surrounding God’s justice all point toward a deeper reality.

And that deeper and often unseen reality is the WAR in heaven that began before God created humans upon the earth.

In other words there was a cosmic war in the universe that was a literal war and not just a war between truth and deception.  And during that literal war in the universe planets were destroyed while other planets were damaged. Physical evidence can be seen of that war. There are places on earth where nuclear radiation and vitrification are found. And science has found evidence on Mars of nuclear radiation.

Then there are creators on the moon and one the earth that are explained as meteor impacts, which most believe without question. But just recently they found a meteor laying on the ground, which they filmed and showed on TV. Guess what? There was NO CREATOR! Just a meteor laying on the sandy ground. 

Anyway, just as nations in conflict conceal their strategies from the enemy, God has veiled certain truths until the appointed time. There is ALSO a “spiritual war is not fought with weapons of flesh but with truth against lies, light against darkness. But the spiritual war does not negate the literal war in the universe before God created Adam and Eve.

And understanding this war between the angels or the gods provides the clearest lens through which to see why Jesus had to die. His death was not the punishment of an innocent man but the decisive act in a spiritual battle that began at the “foundation” of the age.

Q-5. What Does the FOUNDATION of the WORLD Mean?

 The cross was God’s victory strategy, His justice executed within His mercy, truth triumphing over the false accusation made by His enemy that blasphemed His NAME.

To say this in plain terms, Satan blamed Almighty God for the war that he himself waged in the universe by falsely accusing God of creating him flawed or with a sinful rebellious nature.

And Satan continues blaspheming God by seducing Christians to wrongly teach that all humans are born with a sinful nature that we supposedly inherited from Adam and Eve.

So then, without grasping the reality of that physical literal war in the universe as being the very REASON for why God created man and the Son of Man, then atheists can see only injustice in the cross.

And believers in church TRADITION can only invent their theories for why Jesus had to die. For many have not yet seen the ultimate revelation of divine love and righteous judgment of the world in the light of the Lake of Fire originally being prepared only for Satan and his angels. They read right over the verse in Isaiah 5:14 that says Hell has ENLARGED herself.

Why did Jesus have to die?

In this section I will cover  five reasons for why Jesus had to die.

A. To Clear God’s Name

The death of Jesus was not merely a sacrifice for sin. It was far more than that. It was also for the vindication of God’s character or ability of creating all things good. Jesus needed to bear the sins of the world to clear his God and Creator’s name.

 After Satan’s rebellion Lucifer slandered or blasphemed God’s name of character when God was about to destroy him and his rebellious angels that joined with him. But Satan responded that God destroying him would be unjust  by falsely accusing Him of creating him and his angel destined for evil. 

And the cross answered those accusations once and for all. Let me explain what I mean by that statement. You see, by allowing His HUMAN Son, whom He made lower or a little inferior to the angels to suffer and as an innocent man not worthy to be put to death as a criminal, then God could justly demand recompence, and eye for an eye, which by the way the angels ordained.

Again demonstrating that God is far wiser than His enemy. For you see, by allowing the angels to have their say in this judgment regarding them God outsmarted them so to speak.

B. To Justly Destroy Satan and His Angels

God’s judgment against Satan and his angels is indeed  just and loving at the same time. 

For you see, God could have destroyed the earth with the fire he prepared or planned to do some 12,000 years ago. But God chose to prove that He is just and righteous to destroy Satan and his angel by allowing him to gather his witness to prove he is innocent and God is to be blamed for the cause of him waging war against his fellow angels.

So, God extended the ages of this present age to last for 6,000 years followed by another age that will last for 1000 years to judge Satan and the fallen angels.

Keep the analogy of a physical war on earth to understand that there are unavoidable casualties in a war.

And with the true God of the Bible who is not all knowing as Christian dogmatically demand, He did not foresee just how many casualties in this spiritual war there would be. And it grieved God in His heart that He created man when he had to destroy all but eight humans during the flood of Noah, according to Genesis 6:6.

Getting back on track, the testimony that condemns the fallen gods will come through faithful and truthful human witnesses. For you see, through those who live godly lives in this present age despite the enemy tempting them proves that with God’s help even an inferior creation can obey their Creator.

There was “No Tempter” who tempted Lucifer to be filled with pride to wage war in the universe.

And the final witness against Satan and the fallen Elohin comes when we will rule righteously for 1000 years during the age to come having no wars. That will again prove that Yahweh the Father’s creation even being exalted to a higher position of authority will not corrupt themself when God is allowed to help them.

Think about this for a moment and the true meaning of 1 Corinthians 15:28, which teaches THAT or “SO THAT”, or in order that God may be ALL in ALL, will come to Light!

1 Corinthians 15:28  

“And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be ALL in ALL.”

Have you ever wondered why the “angels” desire to look into the salvation offered to humans? Well, one possible reason is that they may think that if God were to dwell in them, then they would “lose” their free will.

And thus, our obedience and integrity of our free will exposes the lies of the enemy. Evil people see no wrong in their deeds, but the faithful reveal our godly lives that righteousness is possible even in a fallen world. Thus, humanity’s faithfulness becomes the evidence that justifies God’s destruction of evil powers, because we were created inferior to the angels or the Elohim.

C. The War in Heaven and the Analogy of Justice

The war in heaven mirrors the earthly reality of nations defending what is rightfully theirs. For you see, when a country is invaded, it is Just and Righteous for that nation to fight to reclaim its land. 

Likewise, God’s war against Satan is simply the Creator rightfully defending what He Himself Created. The entire universe is Yahweh’s rightful dominion. 

Atheists understand that if humans are justified in taking back what was stolen from them, then how could it be unjust for God to reclaim what was stolen from Him?

For you see, when Job 26 is correctly translated it teaches that God is SEIZING BACK His Throne.

Job 26: Correctly Translated.

“He HOLDS BACK (Or He is SEIZING BACK) the face (Or the TURNING) of His throne, and spreads His cloud upon it.”

The word “cloud” in some verses in the Bible speaks of an army. The Son of man coming in the clouds (Or coming WITH Armies) of heaven with power and great glory, according to Revelation 19:14,15.

But for now, please understand that the CROSS is one of the many strategic Battle Plans of Almighty God to defeat His Enemy, that Old Dragon called the Devil and Satan.

The cross is the battlefield where divine justice meets divine mercy, securing victory over death for those who receive and obey the Creator’s truth.

I will explain more of how the Cross defeated Satan in the next section to learn the true meaning of Redemption.

D. The Meaning of Redemption

Redemption means to buy back what once belonged to you. For example, just as soda companies once paid a price to redeem their bottles and keep them from destruction, God along with the agreement of His HUMAN Son, Jesus, paid the ultimate price to redeem humanity from the trash heap of sin.

And God hid His plan of redemption right in front of the eyes of His enemies the fallen Elohim.

Let me explain what I mean. Many Bible scholars agree the in Genesis 1:26, Almighty God the Creator of the Elohim under and subject to Him, is talking to the angels, both the good and faithful Elohim and the fallen gods who wage the war in the universe. 

Genesis 1:26.

“ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” 

Church “Tradition”  interprets the plural pronouns, “us” and “our” as the Trinity Godhead, one God in three separate persons. But in the Light of the whole word of Almighty God, the Highest Elohim is talking to all of His Elohim, the angels, that He Himself set on thrones throughout the universe to rule for Him.

 Job 38:6 The TRUE Meaning of the FOUNDATION of the Earth!, then you would already know  that the word “Foundation” means to sit down to SETTLE a MATTER. And that “matter” which Yahweh in in the process of settling is WHO was the cause of that War in Heaven, Satan and his angels or Yahweh, whom they “accused of creating then with a sinful nature?

Again, many Bible scholars agree that Yahweh was talking to the angels in Genesis 1:26, but few know and understand the Almighty God was SECRETLY talking to His yet future Messiah, Jesus.

This is what God gave Jesus a CHOICE to do his God and Father’s will or to do his own will and call a legion of angels to deliver him.

This is why the ADOPTED HUMAN Jesus means so much more to me than the Fully God-Man Trinitian Jesus. It would not be a HARD thing for Almighty God to die for the sins of the whole world. But for a FELLOW human being to suffer and die for even his “enemies” who crucified him was TRULY a “SACRIFICE” to offer. 

So then, through the shedding of the INNOCENT blood of Jesus, God bought back what was His in order to restore His creation to peace and righteousness, rather than discarding the good with the bad. The obedience of Jesus to lay aside his own will to do the will of his God and creator to shed his own blood and die a gruesome death on the cross as an innocent man is the price of redemption. That is the proof that God values, speaking of the love Jesus has for his fellow humans, both good and evil, that he would submit himself to die and the cross to redeem them back to the Creator.

 Again, the Meaning of Redemption Redemption means to buy back what once belonged to you. God’s act of redemption through Jesus mirrors a simple truth in this example.

 When I was a child the soda companies paid a nickel to reclaim their bottles called redeeming soda bottles. They were buying back what they had made to keep it from being destroyed in the trash, which would cost them more to keep making new soda bottles. 

Likewise, humanity is God’s creation that was essentially stolen from Him by His enemy Satan through tempting Eve to disobey God’s one commandment.

It was at that point in time that sin entered into this Age, the age of 6,000 years to test Satan and his angels to prove that they will never change their rebellious ways. 

The cross was the price of redemption, the payment to reclaim what was His and prevent eternal destruction. 

During the first 4,000 years before the cross, mankind had only their God given conscience to resist the temptation to sin. 

But after the cross and resurrection, God offered and still offers His Help and Power to overcome sin by sending a portion of His Holy Spirit and Power to dwell in those who believe in His plan of Salvation called the Gospel Jesus Christ or the Good News of Jesus ANOINTED.

The shed blood of Jesus was the currency, so to speak, of the Father’s divine love, purchasing back the souls that come to him of their own free will.

And through that voluntary transaction, God restored ownership of His creation. Keep in mind that soda bottles are simply “vessels” that carry the product. And the human body is a vessel used by God to house the souls of humans, the real you. 

So then, when a person believes in their heart that Jesus died for their sins and that his God raised him from the dead after three days and they confess Jesus as their Lord, then God cleanses them from all of the past sins.

The vessel is now clean and PURIFIED to put in a new heart or a new spirit pure and holy to become a new creation of God.

This is the difference between non-Christians, and some who think they are Christians because they were raised by Christian parents who taught them right from wrong.

Please understand that I do not judge any Christian as whether they are truly regenerated new creatures in Jesus Christ. Rather, I am simply pointing out what the Apostle Paul teaches in Romans 8:4-9 concerning carnal Christians who MIGHT NOT have God’s Spirit dwelling in them.

I was a “carnal” Christians when I was a Roman Catholic Christian. I was a good carnal Christian most of the time, but I did lie, steal, and cheat occasionally. And I do not think that I would have left God completely to become and atheists for a short time if I was a true born-again new creation of God.

I left God due to the Roman Catholic doctrine of hell and eternal torment in flames of fire. At that time in my life I “hated” cats, but I loved dogs because they would come to me when I called them to come. Cats just did whatever they pleased, and I thought to myself that no matter how much I hated the behavior of cats, I could never hold them over a fire to torture them. So, I decided that I could not serve God, who I was taught would torture or torment disobedient humans for all eternity.

It wasn’t very long that depression overtook my mind and thoughts of suicide plague me. So, I came up  with the theory that life is like having a game to play. You can choose to play the game to take a chance of winning eternal life. In my mind the play the game was too risky, because if you lost the gave there was a punishment for not winning.

Kind of a corny theory now that I look back, but at the time it gave me some peace of mind. I no longer feared being cats into hell, because in my MIND I was NOT playing the game.

I now realize that the Roman Catholic doctrine of hell contradicts the Scriptures. The Lake of Fire is Biblical, but it is a CONSUMING fire that will not burn for all eternity.

I also now know that atheism is the lie of the enemy and no matter how much a person denies the existence of God it does not change the reality that He does indeed exist.

Closing: The Eye‑for‑an‑Eye Analogy 

And the Justice  of the Cross

Even atheists often admit that the Old Testament principle of “an eye for an eye” seems fair to them. And thus, a life for a life should also be fair. 

And that sense of justice, a life for a life, is precisely what unfolded at the cross. Satan, working through human pride and hatred, influenced the Jews to incite a mob and have the Romans crucify Jesus. In doing so, he repeated the pattern of the first sin by shifting blame onto another while concealing his own guilt. 

Yet in God’s wisdom, that act of injustice became the very means of justice. In other words, the innocent life taken by the Enemy became the lawful payment for all lives corrupted by sin. 

And had Satan understood the outcome, he would never have crucified the Son of Man, for in that moment God appointed Jesus as Lord over the whole earth, replacing the fallen ruler. 

But this replacement is a process that covers three 1000 year long days. For the first 2,000 years Jesus has reigned as King ONLY over those who BELIEVE. But on the THIRD day, the Millennial reign of Jesus during the age to come, Jesus will rule as God in the Name of Yahweh over the whole earth.

The cross fulfilled the ancient law of justice and revealed that divine mercy triumphs through perfect righteousness, a life for a life, but this time the life given redeemed the world.

The Law Ordained by Angels 

And God’s Greater Cosmic Plan

Few Christians realize that the Law was ordained through angels, according to Acts 17:53 and Galatians 3:19.

Acts 7:53.  

“Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.” 

The Law of Moses was added as a temporary measure until the promised Redeemer came. Scripture hints that even the angels themselves desire to look into the salvation of humans, marveling at how God’s mercy operates within His justice. 

Yet little is taught about their role or curiosity. Fewer still, understand that Jesus will one day step down from ruling over the earth at the end of the Millennium, not necessarily because His authority comes to a complete end, but because God’s plan extends beyond this world, this one planet we call the earth. 

The Father’s purpose is to restore the entire universe to its original harmony, which is back to the state of peace that existed before the rebellion of the fallen angels. Those angels, once appointed as rulers over various worlds or planets and even entire galaxies, corrupted their dominions.

And as a result of the war in the universe, the earth became one of the planets stolen by God’s enemies. Christ’s reign completes the redemption of this world, preparing creation for the moment when God reclaims every realm and ends all wars forever.

The last reason for why former Christians have turned to becoming atheist is because they were hurt in some way by church doctrine or abuse by church leaders. And in some case, the injustice inflicted upon them was both physical and emotional trauma.

They were hurt in some way by Christianity.

Many former Christians who turned to atheism did so because they were hurt. They were hurt by a particular church denomination, a pastor, or another believer. 

But pain, though it is real, is not a reason to abandon God Himself. If a particular person hurts you, then you would not flee to the wilderness to live like a hermit. The logical move would be to avoid that particular person, not every human being.

So then, being hurt can become an excuse when used to justify your unbelief in God Himself. You have every right to cease believing in the practices of any “particular” church denomination that has hurt you in some way, but never reject or blame Almighty God for your being hurt. That is what the Enemy wants you to do.

 Who among us has never been hurt by another Christian? And who has never been hurt by an atheist? Human failure is universal, not confined to any faith or  confined to unbelief. Remain an atheist long enough and I assure you that you will be hurt in some way, because Satan is still the god of this present age.

If a particular denomination has wounded you, the answer is not to forsake God but to leave that denomination and seek the Creator’s truth elsewhere. 

For you see, God’s character is not defined by the flaws of His followers, because we are not perfect and sinless like Jesus. We are still growing in our faith. 

Some atheists openly admit that no single event caused their departure from Christianity. But rather, it was a gradual drift fueled by disappointment and misunderstanding.

Yet the same God they left is the only One who can heal the wounds inflicted in His name. Can you not see that turning away from Christianity because of human error is like rejecting medicine because of a careless doctor; the cure remains true even when a particular practitioner fails.

This brings us to perhaps the strongest obstacle of all which prevents atheists and agnostics from accepting Christianity as the only true faith.

The Doctrine of Hell repulsed them.

For many atheists and agnostics, including myself at one time, the doctrine of hell as eternal torture is the single teaching that drives people away from God. That is to say, LOGICAL THINKING people away from God.

It is NOT logical for a God who is LOVE to impose a punishment for being a LIAR to suffer for all eternity being tormented by flames of fire called hell.

I left God solely because I could not reconcile endless torment with a loving Creator. The idea of suffering that never ends felt cruel and unjust, and I could not see how such punishment could reflect divine mercy. 

Yet what I later discovered AFTER I came back to God is that this doctrine itself was born from human misunderstanding. For you see translations and traditions that distorted God’s original intent are the cause of this false doctrine of hell. For you see, the phrase “forever and ever” can also be translated as “for and AGE to and AGE.

So then, from the end of the 1000 year age of the reign of Jesus to the age when God creates the new heavens and the new earth is the duration of time of the Lake of fire ITSELF. However, the duration of time for the wicked to be CONSUMED to ashes is extremely SHORT. 

Again, I personally being that the passing away of the earth will BECOME the Lake of Fire, the earth itself engulfed with flames of fire. The fire ITSELF might burn for relatively a long time, but the wicked humans left on the earth will be CONSUMED to ashes just as any fire will consume a human body being created to ashes.

Hell, as taught by many churches, became a stumbling block not because of Scripture, but because of misinterpretation. My journey back to faith began when I realized that God’s justice is restorative, not sadistic.

Many atheists share that same revulsion, but what repels them is not actually God Himself, but rather, it’s the false image of Him painted by flawed church doctrine invented by the Roman Catholic Church.

There is one more argument used by both atheists and ex-Christians who turned to atheism, which is that all religions seem like superstitions and just a crutch to lean upon.

All religions seem like superstitions.

Faith, Reason, and the Crutch of Belief!

Atheists often claim that all religions are mere superstitions, and a crutch for the weak. 

First of all, atheism is also a system of belief in no God or gods. It is the belief that science has the truth. So, it truth, science is the “crutch” upon which the atheist lean upon.

And when the doctors say they can no longer help, then they have no more crutch to lean upon. But Christians still have HOPE of being healed in this life, and many have received divine healing that doctors cannot explain.

Yes, so have died physically while praying to be healed, but what atheist cannot see or refuse to see is that their youth will be renewed at the resurrection of the dead in Jesus Chirst. So, whether we live or die, we KNOW that we shall live for all eternity at the Coming of Jesus.

So then, what is wrong with having a crutch to walk through life? A crutch is not shameful; it is a tool that helps the wounded stand until they are healed. 

If faith in God is a crutch, then it is the most merciful one ever given, because it supports those who admit their need for help. 

Again, the irony is that atheists lean on their own crutch without even realizing that their theory of evolution and human reasoning is what holds them up. Every worldview depends on something; the question is whether that support leads to eternal life or the illusion of temporary hope given by the fallen angels. For you see, the offerings to idol gods are actually being offered to the fallen angels.

The difference between faith in God and faith in no God lies in how each person treats unanswered questions.

Without faith, every question demands an immediate, complete answer to satisfy the intellect. 

But with faith, questions are invitations to trust until understanding comes. Many Christians never seek every answer, because they are content with what they have been taught. 

On the other hand there are some Christian who are not content with what they have been taught and they seek the truth. But when an answer is found, they accept it as truth.

However, in some cases, they simply were deceived by another lie of the Enemy, until a better answer is revealed.

Atheists, by contrast, refuse any answer until they are completely satisfied, yet complete satisfaction never comes, because human reason alone cannot fill the void of divine truth.

Conclusion

It seems to be useless to tell an atheist that disbelief 

For unbelief in God as the Creator stems from their own unwillingness to change their point of view. For you see, without any belief in God leads to their belief that the Bible was invented by man. Therefore, some atheists do not see that God’s patience allows change to happen gradually. 

God does not demand instant perfection from Christians, but only a willing heart that desires to grow more and more to become like Jesus. When that desire appears at our new birth, God begins the slow, merciful work of transformation. It is up to each individual Christian to renew their minds and crucify their flesh daily. 

Faith is not blindness, it is a lifestyle seeking God and His way of living. It is the courage to walk with questions unanswered, trusting that the One who made our mind also made the answers that bring peace to the mind.

Plain and simple, man cannot fix the problem of sin without God’s help! And sooner or later the problems that sin causes will be faced by atheists. And we as Christians, hope and pray that when they reach the END of their rope, they will finally see that God is right there by their side ready to help if they call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.
