Book 12 Chapter 5.
What is the Logos in John 1:1,14?
John 1:14 is a very familiar verse of Scripture to almost every Christian, but I will go ahead and quote it for you from the King James Version.
John 1:14.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
And all Christians agree that the “Word” that was made flesh here in John 1:14 is referring back to the Word in John 1:1.
However, there is a great controversy among Christians as to “WHAT” or “WHO” the Word actually is.
In other words, there are three main divisions in the church, and all three beliefs cannot be correct.
Therefore, two groups of Christians have been DECEIVED by Satan to wrongly believe doctrines of devils.
Here are the three groups of Christians listed in the order of how many Christians hold to that particular belief.
#1. Most Christians believe in the doctrine of the Trinity.
And all Trinitarian Christians interpret the Word in John 1:1,14 as being Almighty God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God made up of three separate persons in the One True God.
And thus, they believe that the always existing Son of God became flesh.
#2. Next, there are the Pentecostal Oneness Christians who believe that there is just one God is one person, who alone is the Father.
Thus, they believe that the “Word” in John 1:1 is Almighty God the FATHER Himself who became flesh in John 1:14.
#3. Then, there are the Unitarian Christians, who also believe that the One TRUE God is ONE person, that the Bible itself always clearly identifies as being the Father, the God and Father of Jesus.
And therefore, all Unitarian Christians believe that the Word in John 1:1 is the SPOKEN word of PROPHECY that was made flesh in John 1:14.
So then, the main CONTROVERSY is the question, “Which group of Christians are teaching the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ?”
In other words, we will examine the following five questions in this Verse Study on John 1:14 that are two-part questions.
There are five questions because the Unitarian Christians are divided as to WHEN the Son of God came into existence. I will explain what I mean in a moment.
#1. Did an always existing God the Son become flesh as Trinitarian Christians teach?
And if so, did God the Son remain fully Almighty God the Son during the days of his flesh, having two natures at the same time, one divine, and one human?
#2. Did Almighty God the Father Himself become flesh as the Oneness Pentecostal Christians teach?
And if so, did the Son of Man, Jesus have two natures at the same time during the days of his flesh, one divine, and one human.
#3. Did Almighty God create the Son in the eternity past, who was named the Word?
And if so, did the Son of God create all things as Trinitarian Christians and SOME Unitarian Christians, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach, based on their interpretation of John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-17, and Hebrews 1:3?
#4. Did Almighty God create the Son in the eternity past, who was named the Word?
And if so, did Almighty God the Father create all things “by” or “through” the Son, based on their interpretation of Hebrew 1:3?
#5. Did Almighty God the Father Himself Create everything that exists “by” or “through” His SPOKEN word that came forth out from God’s mouth as Biblical Unitarian Christians believe and teach?
Let us explore these five questions in the LIGHT of Hebrews 1:1-3 and Hebrews 11:1-3.
And then, I will briefly explain John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-17 is the LIGHT of what we learn from Hebrews 1:1-3 and Hebrews 11:1-3.
I want you to read both of these passages of Scripture with the words referring to Almighty God the Father highlighted in orange, and the words referring to the Son of God highlighted in yellow.
Also, the words I highlight in light blue refer to Jesus AFTER the cross and resurrection, and the words highlighted in green refer to words that we need to take a CLOSER look at the meanings of the Greek words from which they were translated.
Hebrews 1-3.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hebrews 1:2. Has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He has appointed HEIR of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;
Hebrews 1:3. Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:”
Hebrews 11:1-3.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:2. For, by it, the elders obtained a good report.
Hebrews 11:3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Now, the Trinitarian interpretation of Hebrews 1:2 is that God used the Son of God to CREATE the worlds based on their own personal interpretation of John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-17.
In other words, since Trinitarian Christians believe that all THINGS were created “BY” the Son, then the WORLDS were also made “by” or “through” the Son of God.
For you see, all Trinitarian Christians believe and teach that the “Word” in John 1:1,14 is the Son of God who BECAME flesh.
But as you will soon see, directly from the Scriptures, the “Word” in John 1:1,14 is the SPOKEN word of PROPHECY that came forth out from the MOUTH of Almighty God who “framed” the WORLDS by His “word”.
The Greek word that is translated as the “word” in Hebrews 11:3 is the “Rhema” of God.
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “rhema”.

So then, both Greeks words, the logos” and “the rhema” are the spoken word of God that came out from the mouth of Almighty God, the Creator, who alone and by Himself made the WORLDS for His Glorified highly exalted Son to INHERIT.
Some Christians may argue that Hebrews 1:2 clearly says that the worlds were made “by” the Son.
So, let us take a CLOSER look at the meanings of the Greek word “dia” that is wrongly “translated” as “by whom” and “through whom He made the worlds”,

Total KJV occurrences: 610.
So then, as the channel of an act, Almighty God SPOKE the “logos” and the “rhema” out from His MOUTH and the “logos” was made FLESH.
And God, through the channel of the act of SPEAKING words out from His mouth, “framed” the worlds by the “rhema”, and the worlds were made FOR His Son to INHERIT.
Now, with these other meanings of Almighty God making the worlds for His Son to INHERIT in mind, let us read Hebrews 1:1-3 again.
But let us read one verse at a time so that I can explain why the Biblical Unitarian understanding or view of Jesus is what the Bible ITSELF is actually teaching us in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
Hebrews 1:1.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Notice that verse 1 says that God spoke unto the fathers of the children of Israel by way of the prophets.
Why is this observation important? It is important because verse 2 is actually a clause of verse 1.
In other words, verses 1 and 2 should be read together as one thought.
Hebrews 1:2. Has in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He has appointed HEIR of all things, by whom also He made the worlds.
So then, during the time BEFORE the Son of MAN, Jesus was anointed by His God and Father at his baptism by John the Baptist to BEGIN his ministry, Almighty God did NOT speak to the fathers of the children of Israel by His Son.
And therefore, all of the so-called evidence of a literal always existing Son of God SPEAKING to the fathers in the Old Testament are man-made REASONINGS and incorrect interpretations used to try to support their man-made doctrine of the Trinity.
Please bear with me and you will see that I am teaching you the truth.
Hebrews 1:3.
Hebrews 1:3. Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:”
Notice that the “whom” in verse 2, referring to the HUMAN Son of God, has now become the GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, AFTER the cross and resurrection.
So then, it was the human Son of God that was made in the IMAGE of his God and Father to become the FIRSTBORN of every CREATURE, or the firstborn of creation, speaking of God’s NEW creation in Colossians 1:15.

But for now, I want all Christians to know and understand that the word “THINGS” that I highlighted in green, is NOT in the original Green text.
And thus, it was added by the “translators”. Also, the translators of the KJV did not translate the definite article “THE” that is before the word “ALL”.
So then, what Jesus is upholding by the power of the word of his God and Father is “the all” of us who believe.
In other words, Jesus is NOT upholding those who reject him as the one who suffered and died on the cross for their sins.
And another error made in translation of Hebrews 1:3 is the Greek word “heautou”, which is incorrectly translated as “himself” in verse 3, which should be translated as “him” to refer back to the power of Almighty God the Father that He GAVE to the Son of Man, Jesus.
For you see, according to John 5:19, John 14:10, Acts 10:38, and Hebrew 9:14, the Son of Man, Jesus, could do NOTHING of himself, and it was through the power of the Father, the Eternal Spirit, that the human Son of God did the works.

Total KJV occurrences: 40.
Now that you see these other meanings of the Greek words, let us read Hebrews 1:3 again, but let us add some more CONTEXT so that you can see that I am teaching you the truth of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
Hebrews 1:3-6 more CORRECTLY translated.
“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Hebrews 1:4. Being made so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:5. For unto which of the angels said He at any time, You are My Son, this day I have begotten you? And again, I WILL be to him a Father, and he SHALL be to Me a Son? (Speaking of the FIRSTBORN Son among MANY BRETHREN,
And the PROPHECY being quoted of a FUTURE Son absolutely proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Son of God did not ALWAYS exist for all eternity past, never having a beginning)
Hebrews 1:6. And again, when He brings in the first begotten into the world, (Speaking of the world to come when the FIRSTBORN of every NEW creation of God will rule as God, for his God, and in the NAME of Almighty God for 1000 years) He says, And let all the angels of God worship him.”
Now, did Satan and the fallen angels worship Jesus during the days of his flesh? No! Absolutely not!
Does Satan and the fallen angels worship Jesus now after God glorified and highly exalted His human Son to be made a Lord, a King, and a God to rule over the whole earth during the world to come in the NAME of his God and Father? No! Absolutely not!
Will Satan and the fallen angels worship Jesus DURING the age to come? No! Absolutely not!
But when God brings His firstborn Son into the world to come and Jesus rules for 1000 years in PEACE, not having any wars, then on the final Day of Judgment, God will make all of the angels bow their knees and worship Jesus.
And God is doing all of this for His NAMESAKE to CLEAR His NAME from being defamed and blasphemed by His enemies, who claim that God created them flawed and with a sinful nature.
And therefore, according to the fallen angels, all the evil that they do is God’s FAULT, because God created them to be evil.
So, in the BEGINNING when God FIXED the earth to create man and the Son of Man to STILL or to silence this claim of His enemies, God prepared a PLAN in His mind to have the Son of Man, to be SEATED at His right hand side on His throne.
This is a NEW thing that God has never done before, nor shall be ever done again, which is another reason for why Jesus is called the first and the last.
For you see, God never said to any of His angels, SIT you on My Throne at My right hand side.
But unto the Son he said, your throne O God, is for an AGE to an AGE: a sceptre of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; THEREFORE, or for this very reason that you loved righteousness and hated iniquity, God, even your God, has ANOINTED you with the oil of gladness above your FELLOWS.
In other words, the Son of MAN, Jesus, was highly exalted and GIVEN a NEW NAME above every other name to be MADE a Lord, a King, and a God to be SEATED at the right hand of his God and Father for 1000 years to rule in PEACE and in RIGHTEOUSNESS.
And God will use Jesus and us who overcome the enemy to be made lords, kings, and gods to rule WITH Jesus for 1000 years, as His God and faithful WITNESSES to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
Thus, God will CLEAR His NAME when the RIGHTEOUS take the crown to rule over the earth for 1000 years in PEACE and in RIGHTEOUSNESS, by proving that what He CREATES, He creates PERFECT.
Therefore, proving that even an INFERIOR creation of His, made a little LOWER than the angels, can OBEY their creator to live in righteousness and in peace.
With that being said, let us now take a CLOSER look at the Greek word “katartizō”, which is incorrectly translated as “FRAMED” the worlds, in Hebrews 11:3.
Hebrews 11:3.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

From G2596 and a derivative of G739; to complete thoroughly, that is, repair (literally or figuratively) or adjust: - fit, frame, mend, (make) perfect (-ly join together), prepare, restore.
Total KJV occurrences: 13.
So then, the BEGINNING in Genesis chapter 1 and the BEGINNING in John 1:1 is about God FIXING or RESTORING the worlds back to RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE by CUTTING DOWN all EVIL.
For you see, there was a WAR in the heavens or in the universe BEFORE Genesis 1:1,2.
And the earth BECAME void and without form due to that WAR in heaven and God’s WRATH cutting down Satan and his army of fallen angels.

But for now, I want you to see and understand that the Greek word “logos” and the Greek word “rhema” are both the spoken word of PROPHECY.
And thus, neither Greek word is a so-called Divine eternal being who always existed with God and who was God Himself, as Trinitarian Christians wrongly INTERPRET John 1:1 due to the way it is WRONGLY translated.
Please read 2 Peter 1:16-21 in the light of the word being the spoken and written word of prophecy.
2 Peter 1:16-21.
“For we have NOT followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2 Peter 1:17. For he RECEIVED from God the Father honor and glory, (As a PROMISE and prophecy to be GLORIFIED if he endured the cross, according to the JOY God SET before him in Hebrews 12:2-4.
For you see, according to Luke 9:30,31. Moses and Elijah spoke to Jesus about the DEATH he should die) WHEN there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (In other words, the Son of Man, Jesus, had ZERO power before his God ANOINTED him with a PORTION of His Holy Spirit at the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.
For you see, it was AFTER the cross and resurrection that the Son of Man, Jesus, was GIVEN all power and authority from his God and Father, according to Acts 2:36, Matthew 28:18, Romans 1:3,4, Romans 14:8,9, Philippians 2:8-11, Revelation 5:12, Psalm 2:1-12, Psalm 110:1-7, Acts 2:22-42, and many other verses of Scripture)
2 Peter 1:18. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
2 Peter 1:19. We have also a more SURE WORD of prophecy; (Or we have a surer LOGOS of PROPHECY) whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (In other words, the Word or the LOGOS in John 1:1,14 is the sure word of PROPHECY and NOT a Divine being named the Word)
2 Peter 1:20. Knowing this first, that no PROPHECY of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
2 Peter 1:21. For the PROPHECY came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
In other words, the Apostles of Jesus knew and understood that Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of the word of Prophecy in the Old Testament.
And to say this in Greek, Jesus is the fulfillment of the LOGOS of PROPHECY.
Therefore, when the translators capitalized the “word” in John 1:1 to now become the Word with a capital “W”, they were being DECEIVED by Satan.
For you see, there were many English translations both before and after the King James Translation that do NOT capitalize the word in John 1:1 to say, “the Word”.

Even after reading all of this sound Biblical evidence that it was the HUMAN Son of God, whom God created, that was MADE to become a King, a Lord, and a God under and subject to his God and Father AFTER the cross and resurrection, there may still be some of you who do not yet understand how there can be two who are called God, when the Bible says that there is only ONE God.
So, please be sure to read Book 12 Chapter 6, What Does ONE God Actually Mean?
Son of God, whom God created, that was MADE to become a King, a Lord, and a God under and subject to his God and Father AFTER the cross and resurrection, there may still be some of you who do not yet understand how there can be two who are called God, when the Bible says that there is only ONE God.
So, please be sure to read Book 12 Chapter 6, What Does ONE God Actually Mean?

And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
