"Each day I feel it. The Urge. It's overwhelming at times. I see each blade of grass in a field, each seed upon a dandelion and every needle upon the tallest of pines. All must be scribed. All must be documented. With every finished diagram and annotated specimen The Urge fades for a moment, a few days if I'm lucky, a few hours if not. I know, as more ink stains my skin and I become closer to completion, that my entry in some unseen archive is ready for processing. I am an unwilling librarian in the collection of something bigger than us all."

Across the Continent, it is a rare sight to see a troupe of Wandering Scribes. These people travel the world, each with their own project to complete. Some are botanists, others are cartographers, all feel the same pull to create. Very little is know about this pull - The Urge as they call it - with most of the scribes shying away from it if ever brought up in conversation, quickly changing the topic. They all have similar dreams though. Dreams of a brilliant tree and circling manta rays. Dreams of a single, white eye. If you meet a Wandering Scribe on the road, be kind. You can't imagine what they're going though.
