"The royal lineage of the Auramic empire is difficult to follow, to say the least. Any notion of pure bloodline is hard to follow when the longest any family reined was three generations, most rulers being bought out or assassinated, or in the most extreme of cases a civil war. Piecing their history together through what remains and what is remembered is like removing iron filings from a magnet."
