The first step is to recognize your sin and need for salvation.
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Isaiah 64:6: "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."
Sin separates us from God and leads to eternal death.
Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Revelation 20:15: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins through His death on the cross.
Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
1 Corinthians 15:3-4: "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."
Repentance is turning from sin and toward God.
Acts 3:19: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."
Luke 13:3: "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Salvation comes by faith and confession in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9-10: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Ask Jesus to save you through prayer and faith.
Romans 10:13: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sins and ask You to save me. I trust You alone for my salvation. I pray all these in Jesus' name. Amen."
Salvation is a gift of grace, not something you can earn through works.
Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
John 14:6: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
After salvation, follow Jesus by obeying His Word and growing in faith.
2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Matthew 28:19-20: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you."
