Hello. I would like some advice on how to create ringtones from My Music Library. I would like to use iOS but might be willing to try using the Mac if that will work better. I know absolutely nothing about Audio editing and find it very intimidating. Not all of the ringtones I want to make are at the beginning of songs.

In the My songs page in GarageBand on your phone, tap edit and select any song (doesn't matter which one...if you have no songs just create a blank one right quick), and then tap the share button and scroll to Ringtone. If any pop-up message shows just click continue. Then tap "your ringtones" and hit edit; then you should see the red minus, which you can tap to delete the ringtone. This is the only way I've found to do it...it removes the tone from the "export ringtones" area you used to make it available as a ringtone in the first place. Doing this does indeed remove the tone from the list in Settings-Sounds. Hope this helps.

I deleted the app because I already export the ringtones that I like. But when I decided to remove those ringtones I install the app again and the minute I went to "My Songs" and made I new one to export because that's the only way I know how to get to "Your Ringtones" and deleted the ringtones, but when I click it the ringtones wasn't there. And I dont know how to delete it :(

hello, I had done as you suggested but ringtones have returned and now mysteriously disappeared even from Garageband .. I connected the iPhone to iTunes but the situation does not change: the ringtones are in settings and I can not find them for ultimate elimination.

By uninstalling apps I discovered one I had downloaded, ES File Explorer Manager, that added an extra step of using it (shows file tree) or Media Storage (correct choice to directly access the default ringtones) from the Sound, Ringtones menus. Now, the ring tones are shown when Media Storage is used. These were missing before. This should resolve my problem.

I have used that file explorer app for years and it hasn't hidden the default ringtones from selecting them. You do have to reset the default way to select the ringtones back to the media storage option and to remove the dialog asking which way to complete the action.

I Had same problem with my Droid Ultra Maxx & ES File Explorer. Ringtones present in Safe Mode, but not in normal mode. I Did not need to uninstall The app. Just cleared its data and cache. Then when I went to sound then phone ringtone, I was again given choice of opening with ES File Explorer or Media Explorer. Picked the second and all the default ringtones back on the list.

Hi

I have Windows 7 Home Edition x64 installed and Audacity 2.0

I have one saved project to Audacity and I would like to download this audio track as a ring tone on my Nokia Lumia710 cell phone.

If anyone can give me advise, I would be grateful

Many thanks in advance

Hi everyone! Yesterday, I was trying to transfer ringtones from my Mac to my iPhone, and I found out that it can only be done through drag and drop, which I didn't find very easy. Am I wrong? Is there any other way?

I can also transfer ringtones using a Windows PC, but I was looking in iTunes and couldn't find any way to do it. What am I missing? Can someone explain to me how I can transfer ringtones to my iPhone using either my Mac or a Windows PC? Thank you very much.

This is not completely correct.

It is possible to do. I currently have two directly assigned numbers with separate ring tones configured. When I assigned the numbers they were in the app>settings>general>ringtones

I set them so I could determine which number was being called.

They have since vanished..... so perhaps it's an undocumented feature. 0852c4b9a8
