What is the Thailand Elite VISA?

Originally named the Thailand Privilege Card project, the Thailand Elite visa is a government-sponsored program first proposed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in 2013.

Thailand Elite is a program created for esteemed foreign guests of the Kingdom. Foreigners who are members of the exclusive Thailand Elite Program can be issued a variety of different options of the visa from five to twenty years with differing varieties of privileges. The program is intended by the Kingdom to make top-notch services, privileges and other benefits for a long hassle free stay available for its foreigners either invested in Thailand or on a permanent holiday.

The Thailand Elite visa membership program’s goal is to make it more convenient for tourists and foreign investors to gain entry into Thailand by eliminating the bureaucracy normally associated with such processes.

Ultimately, the goal is to encourage more tourists to come over and stimulate the Kingdom’s bustling tourism industry, as well as to attract more foreign capital to boost the economy.
