SYNTHESIZING IDEAS TO ACHIEVE GROWTH IN LOWER MIDDLE MARKET COMPANIES
Tezza Ventures offers a unique solution to preserve your legacy and ensure the continued success of your business.
Tezza Ventures is seeking to acquire and operate one high-quality business with a track record of growth and profitability. We believe in investing in the future, resulting in the synthesis of ideas and strategies implemented by legacy owners looking for transition capital and transition management.
Tezza was formed and is supported by a team of successful entrepreneurs and investors who share a common passion for operating businesses. We believe in long-term, hands-on management and utilize an owner/operator model. After our acquisition, we fully dedicate ourselves to operating the business, including relocating to company headquarters.
Our acquisition process prioritizes efficiency, transparency, accountability, and speed to close. The general framework of our process encompasses:
Administering an initial business review that includes a market analysis, financial performance review, and potential future growth opportunities.
Establishing mutual trust with the current owners through discussions about the existing strategy and an exploration of new ideas. We also utilize these discussions to ensure cultural alignment.
Performing in-depth financial, legal, and operational due diligence. We utilize a "trust but verify" approach, which we perform with discretion and efficiency.
Partnering with current owners to close the transaction and ensure a smooth transition that focuses on employee and customer retention.
Our Investment Criteria
INDUSTRIES: Business-to-business segment focus on technology (engineering, hardware and/or software) and business services.
FINANCIAL: EBITDA between $500K and $5MM, five years of operating history, and recurring cash flows from repeat customers.
MANAGEMENT: A "clan" culture with low employee turnover and customer churn. We believe that happy employees yield happy customers.
Our Geographic Focus
With one of the largest economies in the United States, Southern California is not only a great place to live, but also a great place to operate and scale a business.
Our geographic focus includes—but is not limited to—Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
Our ethos is represented in our name—Tezza—derived from the word "synthesis." We believe in expanding on ideas and strategies implemented by business owners looking to pass their legacy on to new management.
Tezza is supported by a team of business advisors, entrepreneurs, and investors who assist and guide the sourcing, acquisition, and operations phases.
We are a single-sponsor fund, allowing us the flexibility to partner with investor groups and lenders who fit the acquiring company management and operations culture.
