TezVPN Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026
TezVPN ("we", "our", or "us") provides a virtual private network service designed to help protect your internet connection and improve privacy while using the app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use TezVPN.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
We may collect information that you choose to submit through the app, including:
• Your name
• The contents of problem reports or support messages you send through the app
This information is used only to review, respond to, and improve reported issues.
Purchase and subscription information
If you buy a premium subscription, the purchase is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on your device. We do not collect or store your full payment card details inside the app. We may receive limited purchase status information needed to confirm whether premium access is active.
Locally stored app data
TezVPN stores limited information on your device to keep the app working properly, such as:
• Whether you wanted the VPN to remain connected
• VPN session timing information
• Whether premium access is active
• Subscription start timing used for local app state
This information is stored locally on your device using app storage.
VPN service data
TezVPN routes your traffic through a VPN configuration in order to provide the service. The app does not collect or store your browsing history, DNS queries, destination websites, or the contents of your internet traffic.
Our infrastructure providers may process limited connection metadata needed to operate and secure the VPN service. We do not use VPN traffic, browsing activity, DNS traffic, or VPN exit IP addresses to select or monetize advertising.
Analytics and VPN reliability data
To understand app usage and improve connection reliability, TezVPN uses Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and our Firebase backend. We may process:
• Coarse country inferred by Google/Firebase from the network request
• App opens and active-user statistics
• VPN connection attempts, success or failure, and coarse error category
• Selected VPN server name and country, and VPN protocol
• Connection setup time and VPN session duration
• Device model, operating-system version, app version, crash reports, and stack traces
These operational events use an anonymous Firebase user identifier. We do not include browsing history, DNS queries, destination websites, traffic contents, VPN credentials, or raw IP addresses in these events. Raw operational events are intended to be retained for up to 90 days; aggregated statistics may be retained longer.
2. Permissions We Use
TezVPN may request permissions that are necessary to operate the VPN service and app features, including:
• Internet and network access
• VPN-related foreground service access
• Notification permission, where required by Android, to show the active VPN service notification
We use these permissions only to provide the VPN connection and related app functionality.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
• Provide and maintain the VPN service
• Process and manage premium access
• Save app preferences and session state on your device
• Receive and review problem reports submitted by users
• Improve stability, performance, and user experience
4. Firebase and Third-Party Services
TezVPN includes Firebase services in the app. Based on the current code, problem reports submitted through the app are stored in Firebase Firestore. The project also includes Firebase-related packages that may support app infrastructure.
Third-party services process limited technical data according to their own privacy policies. These providers include:
• Google Firebase
• Google Play Billing
• Apple App Store billing services
• Country.is IP-to-country service
You should also review the privacy policies of those providers where relevant.
5. Advertising
TezVPN uses Google Mobile Ads and Yandex Mobile Ads. These providers may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, measure, and protect advertising, subject to consent and applicable law.
Before starting a new VPN connection, TezVPN may ask our Firebase backend to infer the two-letter country code of the app's public network address. The backend uses Google-provided request country metadata when available and may otherwise use the Country.is IP-to-country service. The app receives only the country code and uses it to select Yandex Mobile Ads for a network appearing to originate in Russia or Google Mobile Ads for other countries. If the lookup fails or a VPN is already active, the app uses the device region instead. TezVPN does not save the raw IP address or associate this country-selection result with browsing activity, DNS traffic, VPN traffic, or an advertising identifier.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:
• With service providers that help us operate the app and related infrastructure
• With app store platforms to manage purchases and subscriptions
• If required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
• To protect the rights, safety, and security of users or our service
7. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including troubleshooting, legal compliance, and service operations. Information stored locally on your device may remain until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through the app. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
TezVPN is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.
10. Your Choices
You may:
• Choose whether to submit a problem report
• Stop using the VPN service at any time
• Uninstall the app
• Manage subscription purchases through your device's app store account settings
• Clear local app data through your device settings
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of TezVPN after an update means the updated policy will apply.
