TexV - Text to Voice ("TexV", "the App") is a text-to-speech app that converts text and supported documents into audio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, what stays on your device, and what is handled by third-party services when you sign in, subscribe, or use Pro features.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Text-to-speech conversion, document reading, and image text recognition (OCR) for supported files are performed on your device whenever possible.
The App does not upload your typed text, imported documents, or generated audio files to servers operated by TexV.
If you create an account, sign-in data is processed by Google Firebase Authentication.
If you subscribe to TexV Pro, payment and subscription status are processed by Google Play and RevenueCat.
The App does not show ads and does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Depending on how you use the App, the following information may be processed:
Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your Firebase user ID, display name, email address, and profile photo URL through Google Firebase Authentication. When you sign in with phone number, we receive your phone number and Firebase user ID.
Subscription and purchase information — If you purchase TexV Pro, Google Play Billing processes payment. RevenueCat receives your Firebase user ID, subscription product identifiers, purchase and renewal status, and related billing metadata to verify Pro access on your account.
Security verification — On Android, Firebase App Check may use Google Play Integrity to help protect sign-in and backend services from abuse. This can involve device integrity signals processed by Google.
Support communications — If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.
The following data is handled locally on your device and is not sent to servers operated by TexV:
Text you type or paste for conversion.
Text extracted from files you import (such as plain text, PDF, DOCX, or images you select or capture for OCR).
Audio files generated by the App, saved where you choose on your device.
App preferences stored locally, such as voice/language settings, terms acceptance status, and a local cache of Pro subscription status for faster UI loading.
Image OCR for Pro features uses Google ML Kit on-device text recognition where supported. Image content is not uploaded to TexV servers for conversion.
Create and manage your account and session.
Verify TexV Pro subscription status and restore purchases on the same account.
Protect the App against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
Provide customer support when you contact us.
Comply with legal, tax, billing, and security obligations where applicable.
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own terms and privacy policies:
Google Firebase — Authentication and App Check (Google Privacy Policy).
Google Play Billing — In-app subscriptions and payments.
RevenueCat — Subscription management and entitlement verification (RevenueCat Privacy Policy).
Google ML Kit — On-device text recognition for image OCR.
Device text-to-speech engines — On-device speech synthesis provided by your device manufacturer or installed TTS engine.
TexV does not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App.
Internet — Required for account sign-in, subscription verification, App Check, and app updates.
Camera (optional) — Used only for Pro "scan text from camera" when you choose that feature. Camera is optional; the App remains available on devices without a camera.
Photos / media (when prompted) — Used only when you choose to pick an image from your gallery for OCR.
Storage / Downloads — Used to read files you select and to save generated audio to your device when you choose "Save to Downloads" or share output.
Vibrate — Used for standard system feedback where supported.
Locally stored app data remains on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the App, or delete your account where applicable.
Account data held by Firebase and subscription records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained according to those providers' policies and our legal obligations (for example billing, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution).
Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond to your request and meet legal or operational requirements.
You can delete your account from the App settings when signed in. If you decline Terms & Conditions at first login, the App may delete the newly created account.
You may also request account or data deletion by contacting texv.support@gmail.com. Include the email address or phone number used to sign in. Some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, security, or compliance purposes.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel subscriptions through Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the services we provide, including secure sign-in through Firebase and Play Integrity on supported Android installs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You are responsible for keeping your device and sign-in methods secure.
Third-party providers such as Google and RevenueCat may process information on servers located outside your country. When you use the App, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
